The flatbed I would definitely not turn off. I know on our EFI machines we can turn the ink supply off, flush all the heads to remove the ink and then turn the machine off and manually lower the head down on to soaked cleaning wipes just like they do when they ship. If we were to go into...
You would have to talk to Mimaki about that. Yes it can probably be done as you just flush that line out. They would have to get involved so that the printer/software is recognizing that as a white channel. as far as increasing print speed if your using 2 channels as white you might not need...
Yes that would be the tooling. I do not like the Kebab function on any of these machines. Not every tumbler will be the same so the toolgin will be close but not perfect. Registration when using Primer/white/color/clear is going to be your challenge.
We have a UJF-6042 and 3042 from Mimaki. We have had the 6042 for about 6 years and have not replaced any heads. This machine runs daily and has a lot of prints on it. I will be honest all the smaller cylindrical attachment printers will not print tumblers that great unless you spend the...
Just looked back ours was installed Oct 2017 so it has been a little over 2 years and we had the very first one installed. They had a flatbed many years ago but just started doing true flatbeds with the 24F again 2 years ago.
I have the first 24F installed as I was part of the early adopter for them. It is a great machine very easy to run. I have had very few issues and had it for about 1.5 years. The 30F is the 5x10 version with more heads that are staggered I believe to be able to get faster print speeds.
Yes I would recommend it. Prints great and the white is very opaque. The 16h got away from the coolant system and went to the Ricoh heads which was a big thing for me coming from the 1625 that had coolant and Toshiba heads.
The H1625 Hybrid is junk. We had one that they took back and we got upgraded to the Pro 16H. We also run the 24F Flatbed. Great machines. I have had very minor issues with either of them. If your going to do acrylic use the 3M ink. We had the first ever 24F installed outside of their...
If the print heads are in a straight line it is slowing it down to close to half speed as your only using half the head. Your white will use the top half of the head and the CMYK channels will use the bottom half of the head.
We ran a Mimaki JFX200 for 5 years. We had one of the first 9 that came into the states. Loved that machine, just outgrew it. If I had the space I woudl run multiple of them instead of 1.
I thought on the MKII they went to a Toshiba head? The best bet would be to get in touch with your supplier and find out what exactly is in the printer.
We offer outdoor signs 2 ways. Direct UV print and then printing vinyl laminated and applied. If they are wanting longer life out of the sign charge more and print the vinyl. A sign direct printed should give you 2-3 years no problem without lamination depending on exposure to elements. I...
I would be careful with Perf on a UV machine. We have run into the issue where the ink is thick enough that it will fill the holes and not stay on the transfer when applied. We have UV, Latex and Eco solvent machines as they all serve a different purpose and we can chose the best option for...
What kind of "tray are you looking for? Something cut all the way through or something routed part of the way through? Either way it is a simple line drawing that is sent to the Zund machine and then in the Zund software you can apply a hatch fill or island fill. I attached a tray i did to...
