    Turn the image and make a contour cut file only. Keep all the spaceing the same. I do this often.

    Just a thought. Take blade holder off cutter and take the adjuster completly out of holder and check to make sure the tiny O ring is seated on adjuster.

    Open the same file on the computer with cutters and do a contour cut only

    Too much pressure and not enough blade can cause premature wear of the blade holder. This happened on my cutter and it would not cut deep enough on one side.

    Your cutting speed could be too slow, allowing the material to buckle under the blade and pull up from the cutting strip.

    Had the same thing happen on a Seiko W64. Did everything but pull the skin off my face. Turns out it was the scan motor. Just wore completly out. Found a NOS online and works perfectly. Mimaki bought Seiko for the technology and discontinued parts.

    The XR-640 is a great printer. I now have two of them, both bought used. I print roll to roll on them both and cut everything on Graphtec cutters. 6mil vinyl and .030 magnet.

    The head unit must be hitting something for the unit to seperate. Check the edge guards, make sure they are flat.
