  2. Every Single Thing I Print Is Stretched

You might want to look at some sort of power/battery/UPS surge protector if your not using one already. It might be an unsteady power issue causing voltage issues with the printer. Also double check all your connections and ports.
  3. 10oz banner on HP 360

Are you asking seriously? If so, more media options, faster turn around time, less maintenance, no fumes, wrap material is easier to work with, HP Gen 3 inks are scratch resistance, consumables tend to be less expensive, no waste ink to dispose of, machine doesn't have to wake up to cycle every...
  4. 10oz banner on HP 360

If the take up reel is pulling it to the side than I would think that you are loading it incorrectly, as it should not do that. Also I would look at taking the time to creat you own profile for the media, this will help out a lot, This way you can set up different passes and heat and ink...
  5. Every Single Thing I Print Is Stretched

Check your Production manager and the size. I've had it where Flexi will change the size randomly. It doesn't happen that much more with the new Flexi Cloud as it did before but this has happened to me. I think that it's a bug from the 'feature' of Flexi saving print settings. So at one...
  6. 10oz banner on HP 360

So I've not used 10 oz banner but what about increasing the number of passes or using an inter pass delay so you can decrease you're heat? Is the banner material heating up and curling causing the head strike? Is it also causing head strikes with tension on the banner?

Depends on the function. We use gloss for vehicles and luster for signs.
  9. Touch Up - Eco Solvent

What type of material? It doesn't matter that much but if you scratched the material and it's in a gradient, your kinda SOL. You can try to print a patch but depending on your setup there's a good chance it won't match and the patch will stick out more than the scratch will. Why did you not...
  10. Hp latex 315 or Mimaki cjv150

If you're not going to be printing that much I would look at going with latex as it means that less waste ink and maintenance.
  11. Question flexie

Neat. Are you just making a statement or are you asking a question? If you asking a question how about being more specific such as: Hey guys when I import a vector file that was made in Illustrator into Flexi and try to apply a contour cut around it _______________ happens. I need to make a...
  12. I need a designer who can also do production

Where are you located, how much are you looking to pay, are there benefits?
  13. Have always loved this

We had a guy open a wrap/sign shop up here and he used that bus image on his website. We all laughed, he shut his doors after a few months. AMS, while it might sound 'snowflake-ish'. I think that you could do this. I think anyone could do something like this if they had the time. A lot of...
  14. Question de-installing live signage

I don't deal with electrical signs but should't that be one of the first things you do? When ever dealing with electrical components always make sure the power is off, it's a basic safety step.
  15. What printer did this?

It says process foils... so and Edge maybe?
  16. Where to find labor

I was wondering this as well. It would be interesting if this was part of some sort of graphic design class. They had to design, print and install a wrap. Why couldn't we as a community reach out to material suppliers and institutions and try to create a few pilot programs for something like...
  17. Where to find labor

So depending on what your doing and what yo need help with, why not reach out to a local community college to see if you can do an apprenticeship program. Granted it won't help you 'right now' but it might lead to someone that fits your needs perfectly. You can pay them, and they will also...
  18. Where to find labor

Didn't we just through this a few months ago? Saying that you couldn't find anyone for with experience for $12 and hour?
  19. When does a vendor become a competitor?

I think that an interesting question. Look at 3M they have a printing dept. that will print for some clients. I'm not sure if they outsource it or do it in house but I was working for a company that got the install and it was a little frustrating cause it was a pretty big job and they didn't...
  20. RUST - Files -

So one of the issues that your going to run into is that you are probably going to need to use multiple different types of 'rust' images and you can't really use the same one for all the wraps. If you can use photoshop to blend the texture/images together to create your own as I think that this...
