  1. HP Latex 360 Printheads dropping out after 3 days???

If they're under warranty I would get new heads. I would clean the printhead contacts in the carriage before putting new ones in. Hopefully it's not an issue with the lines. Using HP ink I'm assuming?
  2. Question Who has the Whitest High performance Reflective vinyl???

We've used several brands of reflective and I think just by their nature without bright direct light they all look silver. But I would be interested in a whiter version as well.
  3. Suggestions box trailer rivets/screws, paint or leave white

I would leave them, hardware (especially linear and evenly spaced) usually doesn't take away from the design and people tend not to even notice when they look at it in my experience.
  4. Need Help Have a Latex 570 - need material help

That sounds a lot lower than what we're paying. We're at $306 CAD for 54". You have a location in Canada? You may be thinking of Ontario, California. Which is confusing cuz the abbreviation is the same.
  5. Need Help Have a Latex 570 - need material help

Intellicoat PosterMax paper works great on our 360, we've been using it since we got the printer.
  6. Layout for Wrapping

I would treat this the same way I would a helmet wrap (even though this is like The Juggernauts helmet). It really depends on the design as to how you approach it. The majority of the time, we design flat based on actual surface area, quick transfer onto photo for proofs. Once approved, text...
  7. Latex 335 - material crumpling

Never seen that happen in just one spot. I'm assuming you're attached to the take-up if it's halfway through a roll. If you move the right end of the spindle to the inner position (or outer if you're running on inner) does it happen on that same roller? Also how much skew do you have when...
  8. First Service Issue HP Latex 360

The unit closest to the front panel is unit 4. They're labeled based on the connection chain from the resistor and control PCAs at the left side of the printer. Edit: Nvm, he's right, I was looking at a different diagram
  9. First Service Issue HP Latex 360

They're numbered left to right. I didn't change the resistor, worked just fine. What I will recommend is while you're in there, after you've taken the heater out, is clean the vents the heat passes through. They're very small holes and clog up easily with dust. Did you check the wiring first?
  10. 79:04 on 560

You could try sending the job with different settings in your RIP, apparently that can help.
  11. 79:04 on 560

That's a firmware error, have you made sure you're up to date? It's possible that the profile only works on a certain firmware version, which sounds odd but definitely possible.
  12. Advice on printer

With that money you really gotta get lucky, especially up here. There was a Mimaki JV33-160 going for $4,500 in Burgessville at the end of November, not sure if it's still there. But you may want to get a cheap cutter and outsource printing till it makes sense to buy one. There's lots of...
  13. What's the widest magnetic sheeting available?

I believe they sell the 40" and 48" rolls in 25' as well as 50'. Some suppliers may sell it by the yard if they stock it. We get most of our 24" by the yard.
  14. Need Help Client requesting files

We charge handsomely for design, when customers ask for files we supply them without a problem. Everything we have to do to files, from design to alterations, is charged for and considered bought. We've had larger customers come to us from different shops that refused to give them their files...
  15. PNG file. Questional website

Not secure just means it's not running HTTPS, lots of websites still haven't transitioned. It's just encryption of communication between you and the website. As for the rest, I don't really see any red flags but I can't find any info about them anywhere. Edit: looks like it's owned by the same...
  16. News HP Issued New Service Update with Flat Rate Pricing???

My guess is they want more profit on shorter service calls. I'm guessing a lot of them end up quite a bit shorter than they expect, especially with years under their belt with these machines now. And then making the long service calls less frustrating for owners as costs can just keep adding up...
  17. Roland SP300V Heat Transfer Vinyl Wash Issue - Siser

We still use ColorPrint PU a bit for large shapes because we have it in stock and have to use it up. Nothing detailed because it's such a pain to transfer. Our main HTV is Chemica 1702, prints and transfers much better than the printable Siser stuff, weeding is about the same. High tack mask...
  18. HP Latex + Checking optimizer heads

I've just popped in a head to test and then put it in a couple months later, didn't seem to affect it. I can't say if it's recommended though.
  19. HP Latex + Checking optimizer heads

Strange. Have you pulled out each head to make sure the strip at the bottom isn't damaged and hanging down? It can happen after a couple head strikes. It's possible that ink is firing onto it and dripping down as it passes over. If they look ok physically, I would switch the head. For us, HP has...
  20. Roland SP300V Heat Transfer Vinyl Wash Issue - Siser

Something did happen to the Colorprint Easy over the last year or so, we stopped using it. It was never rated as latex compatible but used to print beautifully and then all of a sudden it was garbage. My theory is they did change something, could be related to your issue, might not. Are they...
