Vacuum should help
When you load the perf, lift the blue lever after you load it so it relaxes flat, lower and then forward so you can see the material coming out in the front. May need to attach to the takeup if it continues.
We do a lot of .040 for local plants/factories. They typically get screwed or glued to something rigid so they don't need the extra rigidity .080 provides. We mainly use that for signs getting mounted to a pole, or it is specced for different reasons. We also do a lot of ACM mainly because it's...
We have 2 Lassco Wizers (hand version) that we use for business cards. It'll round corner plastic as well. I've done .040 aluminum on it but anything thicker it does seem to struggle with.
You need to get into the service menu and reset SMK3 life. I'm not sure how to get there on a 260, but it should let you keep printing until it actually causes problems.
Green is one of those tough colours because you're mixing 2 different colours to achieve it. I usually set the file up in RGB and let the RIP handle the conversion, gives best results. We have had a job where we ended up having to print green on reflective which the customer was very happy with...
It won't auto rotate larger files in my experience, they have to be manually rotated in the job editor or the job properties. I usually just check off rotate 90 degrees when importing anything 10 feet or larger.
I remember seeing a video testing vehicle glass prep, I think on the wrap institute but I forget. Pretty much the best result was going over the glass with a torch to burn off all the chemicals that were causing the vinyl to barely stick. This was compared to commonly used chemicals such as iso.
Most manufacturers have charts explaining the different applications of their products. Mostly it just comes with experience though. The majority of your jobs will be done with materials you are comfortable with, so try a couple out before you settle on one.
You will get the odd request here...
They usually ship those as coils, we order 20-40 feet at times and you just have to let it relax on the floor or tables before working with it.
Might be the only option here if you can't panel it.
There are a ton of threads about latex vs solvent and which are good starting printers on here. Do a search and read through those, they have lots of info.
Used to wet apply at first, but switched to dry after some issues. The other guy here still wet applies and I have to get all the bubbles out after him. I think it's just technique, but I got away with both.
It's the last number in your media preset, 8p_CMYKcm_90 is 90% ink density.
When you first started printing that media, did you do a colour calibration first?
It typically does differ slightly as time goes by, but it shouldn't be a drastic difference. Are you printing at the same passes and ink density as before? More ink will make everything look darker. We always print the print mode and settings on our swatches when we do them so we have a...
Never even knew that was there, could be an option. The only thing I notice is the preview isn't as quick since you have to select a font before it will show it. I like how in fusion I can search for "Script" and it'll instantly list a preview of all the different script fonts. Do you know if...
We use Suitcase Fusion and have for years, works great but we only use it on Macs. The previews are good if you have a good knowledge of your fonts and just use it for a quick reference, but not scrolling through until you find something you like.
It's not great for categorization/browsing if...
I've looked at it a few times but never really found any value in it. Everything it does can be done in design programs and your RIP. Unless they've added something since I've checked it out.
