  1. Our Shop Truck

Sorry, I guess just the smallish size of the text graphics with a lack of contrast for the most part. Legibility is KEY, regardless of "shade" conditions. I know your hands are tied to a degree with the logo, but everything being in straight lines is kinda boring. It's not a "bad" design, just...
  2. Branding + Fleet Wrap Design

AWESOME work. I love those new Nissan NV's too. They are making passenger van versions of those now...woohoo.
  3. I know you're not supposed to wrap with calendered...

"I know you're not supposed to wrap with calendered..." Very short term on Bus or box truck etc. would be the only exception...but like the others, I'd rather pay a .15¢ per sft. more and have the installation go smooth.

  7. Best Wrap Training/Seminars - Thoughts?

Where to start...I'm not knocking anybody's skills. I agree for the most part about wraps having creative design potential higher than that of "signs" and most shops don't treat them as such. But back to my initial statement, If technology is so readily available in grade school, the truly...
  8. Wrap Videos

I've got Justin Pate's Newer set of 3, his older DVD's released by Real Wraps, A vid from Mac Tac, Avery, R Tape, 3M, Oracal, Fellers, & one called Wrap Tutor (old). Most Vinyl Manufacturers will send you one free of charge. None go into as much depth as the Justin Pate ones in my opinion. But...
  9. HELP!! Reflective

When that happens to me...I mess with the light in the print room...usually standing in front of it and holding my hands in front of the area..blocking light..but not too dark. That usually helps. The worst is when it's printing, and gets to the last crop marks and gets a scan motor error before...
  10. Printing on Reflective

Is it Oralite? We had to wipe our oralite down with alcohol before printing on it. Needless to say, I don't buy that brand any longer. 3M Scotchlite now.

  13. Box truck wrap price question

    I'd say you're spot on.
  14. Best Wrap Training/Seminars - Thoughts?

That's fine. Writing a book on a "subjective" subject like "design" is cool. But a kid with an artistic eye & some instructions on using a graphic program can become MORE than proficient in graphic design these days. My point was that access to the right tools & an eye for design doesn't take...
  15. what would you do serious question

    A. "Karma" (lol) B. "it's not about money...it's about business" What business exists that is not about money? Pretty sure it's in the definition of business somewhere. Being ethical in your business practices is a must in my opinion. C. If you want to apply "Ethics", The customer signed a...

  19. Do you people actually like Corel?

I'll bet if you surveyed 100 people that know both programs well, at least 80% will favor Corel over Adobe. Across multiple applications too. Web Design, Sign Design, Print Design, Typesetting, even bitmap manipulation...Corel will win. Criteria would be they have to be able to create the...
  20. Price Beatdown

I've got to say it ProWraps... With the large amount of business you always say you have, why the HECK don't you charge $500 more per van? Even "IF" you lost 4 potential vans a month due to that price difference in spite of being the "Faster" "Higher Quality" with a portfolio to prove it, A•...
