Agreed, $2,000 a month makes the most sense to sub out - even with the drawbacks you mention. Honestly, you would barely be running enough work to keep the printer clean and operational on it's own at that volume. My personal opinion for a small shop is $8k-$10k/mo retail is the minimum amount...

No, if you are going to be away for a while not using the printer this is the best thing to do. Just set your cleaning time where you want and the printer will do the rest. :thumb:

FWIW - magenta overspray is almost always a condition of the head being too high. Did you just get this printer, or perhaps put in a new head or carriage assembly? There is an adjustment cam on the carriage assembly that can be lowered, but you really need to be careful. I "think" the Mutoh...

Looks like your head height is too high. Are you running in high position? If so, lower it and see what happens... Ah, I read your post too quickly. QUESTION: when you lower your head does the magenta overspray lessen or look a little better - be sure to REALLY check to see if it changes.

Well, 3M 8624 is made for brick/block wall installs. I am sure other vinyls would "stick" for a short time, but without being able to heat it and stretch it down into the nooks/crannies it would probably fail a lot faster.

Fortunately it had rained several days prior to installing and had washed any major dust/grit off the wall. We gave it Thursday to allow it to dry with the sun and then installed Friday/Saturday. Other than a quick dusting down with a broom, nothing else done.
