If its the outermost black channel that is missing nozzles, there is a good chance your head is not sitting on the cap top squarely, or the cap top and/or maintenance station is due for replacement because the rubber gasket eventually loses shape and/or elasticitiy. Usually I would find missing...
Looks good.
Horizontal seam not a real big deal when there aren't rivets to deal with.
If that truck had rivets you would find out quickly that would be a bad idea, lol.
OK, I might ramble on and bounce around a bit, but here are my thoughts on this topic;
1. The quality of the install is absolutely imperative to the overall value of a wrap. (Yes printing must look good and design is key in communicating your message.) However, anyone can order prints from a...
Actually, any installers are actually hard to find in my area. Installers that know what they are doing even more so, and great installers are already up to their eyeballs in work and can pretty much name their price and terms. We're not a big enough shop to have a full time wrap installer on...
Been using Avery for 95% of our jobs for the past 3-4 years. I do like 3M, but its priced too high and my installers prefer Avery since its much easier to work with. New Avery is coming out this month that will be more compatible with solvent and latex...will see how that pans out. We still...
That's about what we pay for MaxMetal from Grimco. Unfortunately, you have to make sure they have your pricing set up with a discount - told them I can order it cheaper through 2 other sources and they matched pricing...
Our D140 has been going strong for nearly 4 years now. We upgraded from a Roland CX-300, and while I still think the Roland was a good machine, the Summa is better. *The only thing I miss about the Roland is the auto sheet cutoff tool.
Have been running JetBest for over 4 years. (Mutoh 1204, 1304, 1604 and now 1624) Ink works great, prints great, has slightly more solvent smell than OEM and hits sightly better reds than OEM.
My guess would be to check it first by not using your takeup. I've seen similar issues when the take-up bar is not level and it manifests itself more on long runs. If you can, run 20-30 feet of prints (or something longer) and manually engage the takeup reel just to keep the print wound up...
We've had our AK-600 going on 3+ years now, I clean the rollers every few months with a silicone spray and rag to keep the roller material from drying out and cracking. We do lift our rollers up (usually) when not in use - but we just do it high enough to take pressure off to prevent a flat...
Anyone around town that can letter or wrap a vehicle will have their eye out for companies that have a large fleet of vehicles which equates to work. So, don't be surprised if you don't get anywhere by making cold calls or asking for the Marketing Director or Fleet manager. To be blunt -...
Yup, been dealing with the same crap here because of IOM's laminate. Honestly, we didn't use it for anything long term, as we know better than that. However, I never would have believed a cheap laminate could be so bad. We were using it to do vehicle magnets, real estate signs and riders...
For the past 2 years we put up a mural on the side of a brick building with very deep mortar joints and brick with an "aged look" to it and had lots of cracks and crevices using the 3M material. At no point did it ever peel or fail anywhere on the mural during the time it was up...
