It's the results from one month - I don't understand why you're having trouble understanding that.
$300k revenue = jobs that were delivered and invoiced in March (and mostly sold in previous months)
$600k sales = jobs that will be delivered in the coming months ($300k of that is a Watchfire...
I have a lot more than 5 people on the team... Was I supposed to give a full brief of every team member? Would you like their resumes as well?
Your reply is the biggest compliment anybody could possibly give me - I've done so well that you don't think it could possibly be true.
I couldn't...
I'm not sure if you're actually genuinely interested (or just looking for more reason to scoff at my work) and it's hard to narrow 5-6 years of hard work and difficult decisions down to a few paragraphs, but I'll give you the abridged version:
-----
- For the first two years or so, I pissed...
I'm waiting in line for Guardians of the Galaxy at Epcot at the moment.
I went and visited with our vendors, met a few new ones, and then headed out to enjoy Orlando. A good way to write off a few extra vacation days!
Thank you for the kind words and positive feedback!
I've met many great people in this industry and I'm grateful for the opportunities it has provided in my life!
Every day is different which is both exciting and nerve-wracking, but there's a light on the other side of the tunnel and I'm...
Perhaps overpaid but I am making well more than that so we're both happy (and I don't have to worry about him running off to do his own thing).
My goal is to pay him as much as I can so that, 1) he has no need to look for employment anywhere else or to start his own shop, and 2) I need him to...
I didn't go back and read the comments in this thread, so my memory of you was in general, not specific to this post.
My GM that runs the business is 28 years old and will clear $200k this year... So yes, I'm absolutely not needed. That is by design and absolutely intentional.
If things go...
Read the numbers again and rethink your comment. I'm not saying you're dyslexic, but you got some things reversed.
Also - just because we're in a rural area, doesn't mean we only service a rural area. I have a fleet of bucket trucks on the road all over our state.
I don't really care if you...
Yeah, that's the guy...it's been a long time since I visited the forum.
I knew Gino was going to usually end up giving me a helpful answer, but not without telling me I was a fool in the process.
Update:
Wow - nearly 5 years since I made this post and the vast majority of you said it could never be done.
I was thinking about this post this morning as I got ready to attend ISA down here in Orlando...
I've used this post as motivation for the past 5 years to show that this can be done...
We have a client who wants a 12'W x 6'H sign without any seams.
I'm able to source an aluminum panel this size from Harbor, but our 63" printer isn't large enough to do it without a seam.
I've checked with all of our trade printers and none of them are able to provide/ship panels this large...
No, I'm not planning to print either layer.
The Navy Blue won't be translucent though, we only want the gold layer to show light through it.
Good catch on the cast vs. calendared part as well, I definitely misspoke there.
Thanks for your help Gino.
Typically our translucent signs are printed so I don't have a suitable color chart for translucent vinyl.
What kind of cast vinyl would you typically use in your shop that is translucent?
