I recieved a call today from my Grimco rep today stating that after June 1st they will no longer be selling any Mimaki products. Their reasoning was that their sales were down and that Mimaki pulled the plug. They will only have ink supplies that are on the shelves untill they run out...
we happen to have a 2 post lift that helps with front and rear bumpers but is more in the way for sides and lower body kits. A simple floor jack and four jack stands gets the car up high enough to make wrapping the sides and lower skirts that much more ergonomically friendly.
Weather has broke and Garage doors are open! We have had a great first qurter and staying busy in all Depts. Seems as though customers are dropping off vehicles every other day. Wraps, Fleet graphics and signs are keeping our printer running long hours. Our Screen printing Dept. has our auto...
Working previously in the petroleum industry please check with customer that these are New empty or filled with water and nothing flammable or previously flammable has been in tank before flame treating the tanks for vinyl. Just a simple saftey check as vapors are extremly flammable. I know it...
So from your last post it sounds like you are paying for samples for this possibble customer yourself? As you don't want to be stuck with odd sizes? If this is true that is your first mistake. If the customer wants customized samples then they should pay for them. What are you going to do...
Keep us updated on how you make out getting these over here. I would be in the market to get my hands on one. Just like any piece of equipment attention to proper set-up and preventitive maintenace is key.
In my life before sign making I was a tool and die maker for 10 years and saw the...
Funny story one time we were installing a sign for a baseball card store in the same building as a PSYCHIC and the card store had more sqft. so his sign was larger. The so called PSYCHIC lady comes out yelling "what are you doing" "You cant put that there" I felt like saying your the Psychic...
Yes we run alot as well. I am a little OCD with my maintenance I always have a tech out at least once every 18 months just to do a preventive maintenance check to see if they see anything that I may not. They have always said how clean and neat we keep everything. I would rather pay up front...
Had my JV3 since 2005 and just sold it last Nov still working at 100% never replaced any heads and very little major maintenance. Just ran the heck out of it and kept it clean. Been running our New JV33 and cant say enough about it. speed and print quality are great. Best of luck with what...
is this a new computer? Has this computer recognized the printer before? Mimaki JV3's are tempormental with what Firewire card they like to play with. Always had good luck with the Texas Instruments cards but had issues with other manufacturers not playing nice.
Thank you everyone. Yes it was supplied artwork so we couldnt open it. My designer was playing around and I think he did place it into illy and that worked. He said he was also able to open or import with Signlab as well. Customer was on the road at the time so could not resave back to...
Is it just me or does it seam like in the past 12 months I have been doing more and more site surveys and estimates to the tune of the customers just wasting our time.
How does everyone handle site surveys? Is anyone charging to go out and measure potentially decent size projects? It takes a...
Unfortunetly when I started my business I used my cell phone. Well everyone now knows that phone number so I Forward that cell phone to my land line at our shop everyday. We can not port over the number to a land line due to the 911 capabilities and area of the original phone number. We tried...
So this may not be a brand new tool but it was something I had come across on youtube and had to have. I saw the time saving it would save when opening up a backlit sign and troubleshooting bulbs and ballasts. Picked up a brand new one on EBAY for $125. Of course a handy multimeter will do...
I have had good luck with a similar issue.
Mine was however due to the pump lines being warn out due to age.
I would remove back panel of machine where your two ink pumps are located.
Remove drain lines from waste ink bottle and pull suction though drain line and capping station with...
