hey dan... do you have any suggestions or critiques. i'm trying to get all this together with my move to a new location .. so i had to have new cards with the address change, so i figured i'd try to do all the graphics at once.
i'm trying to get some more eyes on it before i print and...
More van attempts
here are a couple more van trys
maybe ... i'll check it out. seems strange that you could copy right a phrase that common. i know threepeat is copy righted but it is kind of an invented word.
i never understood the ganging up on prowraps either...
sure he's boastful at times (maybe makes us jealous?) and the logo deal was kind of funny but he was getting busted up long before that.
what version of illustrator? i never use the wacom with the pencil.. i always use the blob brush or the regular brush to draw, much like this video here.
you can edit the paths afterwards and if you use the regular brush you can change the brush strokes after you draw.
i've never used the bad wrap but you can make your own templates or use vehicles outlines templates... the bad wrap seems like a good tool for showing your client a proof. its expensive for that use though.
and i have seen very few people put aurora fills to good use on a wrap, especially a...
Just use layers .. layer 1 is the wood or wood grain. layer 2 fill with golden yellow and change blend mode (i think i would use multiply?) this will let the underlying layer (wood grain) show thru the yellow like a candy color. layer 3 i would paint in red/orange around the edges and set...
i have never used a high dollar laminator so keep that in mind with my opinion...
but i have used a daige and another dingtec before the enduralam and for me (a smaller shop) i can't see any reason i would need anything else. like the other 2 there is a little learning curve but once you...
i have used a daige and now have a signwarehouse enduralam (dingtec).. you can master the daige, but it has a greater learning curve than a laminator with the tension bars you have to zig-zag the lam thru before it gets to the main roller.
the tension bars make it harder for you to get the...
do you have or use photoshop? if you do it would be easy to make in PS. get a istock or some other pic of the wood you want to use and then make new layers for each color of the burst and change their blend modes to overlay, multiply or some other , which ever one gets the effect you are...
pjannto rip, ciberprint rip , photoprint, flexisign, future rip...
i tnink pjannto rip and future rip are the least expensive, but have never used them... i have used onyx, wasatch, and flexi. wasatch was the best quality to me.
i hear ya .... i can't let mine run all night alone either.. but if i was so busy that i needed to run it over night often i would upgrade to something faster.
back on the subject you have the signlab print and cut? will it drive the roland sc-500? and is the RIP comparable to flexi? it...
:thread
sorry to be a thread pirate . but mosh you've got a 1000 plus post count and your join date is only a few months back...
i joined 2 years ago and only have 900 plus... you must love this place.:rock-n-roll:
that is exactly right... you'll need inks , but most of all you'll need vinyl rolls (maybe several different types) and banner material, or if you are like me , i stock photo paper, 2 sizes of banner, cast and calendered vinyl in 2 sizes..etc.. then i stock the laminates for cast and...
a lot of people use flexisign for cutting and printing with mutoh printers .... so i don't see why you couldn't do the same with signlab and roland. your roland may be too old for versaworks? or versaworks might cost ya... and if you already have signlab (the version with the RIP) it...
