Unless you calibrate directly before printing each swatch it's a toss of the dice. The heads are consumables and wear quite quickly. Even so the colour will change as they change temperature.

Actually we have the camera version S2T - I think that's the issue with network connection. The standard opos version may work fine.

We're on Thrive 12. Barcode server doesn't work on a network connection, only USB.

Yes it will scan and cut the first job then look for any others on the roll afterwards and cut them too.

We have the same setup and it works fine. In fact we print from Cutserver to a remote pc near the cutter that has Barcode Server running on it. Not sure exactly what you need to know.

In your rip settings there should be an option to edit the ink density factor - start off at 150% to see if that's the right setting.

I see SwissQ are bringing out a roll fed printer. That should be interesting.

Haha wow. Great some honest feedback from an actual user. I heard only cheaper monomeric vinyls get brittle. Have you tried intermediate/cast?

We print some fine art on our Oce 660. It does a great job. Fine art paper, glass and yes we even recently printed on some recycled plywood for a bar. A job we did on mirrors won the artist an award recently so the results speak for themselves...

We've got an Oce with double white ink. We use white around once a week. Just clear the nozzles, and shake the white bags daily and it's not a problem.

Pretty sure you need another licence to run the rip on a separate PC. You can run Job Editor on a remote PC if your key permits it though.

Light inks are a patch to compensate for large droplet size. Variable droplet heads with a small droplet size don't need light inks. 6 ink printers also use a fair bit more ink than 4 colour.

But you have to wait 6 hours to laminate and the inks aren't as scratch resistant as latex..
