We had trouble with colour repeatability and length matching on our 360s.
There are some workarounds if you keep your eye on the ball all the time but we ended up getting an Epson 60600 for certain jobs.
Having said that we still love our latex and run most of our jobs on them.
He could be pretty annoying at times - at those times I just ignored him.
On the whole he was a very experienced sign man who not only knew how to make signs but how to run a business and deal with clients.
Bring him back.
It's really quite simple if you just want to make a basic profile for most printers.
Open Media Manager and select "make new profile".
Follow the prompts.
The only part you need to assess a swatch and decide settings is Ink Limits.

For that application I'd print the white base in Quality Layered mode, then create a separate Quality mode profile for the CMYK to be used only over a white flood fill.
Print the white flood under your swatches first.

Onyx does a good job and is easy to use.

Yes it stays in recesses well.
For warranty we give people 3 years.
We are Zone 2 here so 1105/6460 warranty is 6 yr vertical and 3 yr horizontal.
I tell people it should last longer on vertical surfaces but you might notice ink fading after 3 yrs.
