A latex might be better for your workflow. They don't mind sitting for a while.
  2. problems with HP Latex?

We had trouble with colour repeatability and length matching on our 360s. There are some workarounds if you keep your eye on the ball all the time but we ended up getting an Epson 60600 for certain jobs. Having said that we still love our latex and run most of our jobs on them.
  3. Problems laminating UV Prints

That's the nature of UV print. It's textured. They supplied the prints - their problem.

These days for pure print jobs next day turnaround is standard and same day is becoming more common.
  5. Should Gino be brought back?

He could be pretty annoying at times - at those times I just ignored him. On the whole he was a very experienced sign man who not only knew how to make signs but how to run a business and deal with clients. Bring him back.

  8. profiling on onyx 12

It's really quite simple if you just want to make a basic profile for most printers. Open Media Manager and select "make new profile". Follow the prompts. The only part you need to assess a swatch and decide settings is Ink Limits. Why not make a start then post any questions if you get stuck...

  12. Flatbed UV prints + Decals peeling the ink off

Like any business realty seems easy when you know nothing about it. I'm sure they don't sell a 500k house every day and they have huge overheads.
  13. Bright Colors Epson s80600

Here it is. I think I had a time finding it. Pretty sure it doesn't automatically install with the drivers etc.
  14. Need Help Onyx Production House Profiling Problem- ICC Swatch errors

For that application I'd print the white base in Quality Layered mode, then create a separate Quality mode profile for the CMYK to be used only over a white flood fill. Print the white flood under your swatches first.
  15. Bright Colors Epson s80600

Epson have an EpsonWideCMYK input profile you should use.
  16. Flatbed UV prints + Decals peeling the ink off

Typical real estate agents. They want the cheapest possible option then complain about it's durability. I guess you could try and upsell them to anti graffiti laminate.
  17. Need Help Onyx Production House Profiling Problem- ICC Swatch errors

Onyx does a good job and is easy to use. There must be a reason those patches are so far out of what's expected. A couple are nothing like what they should be.
  18. Issues Printing Gradients from InDesign with Onyx on Arizona 360GT

Re linearise by selecting the printer in Rip Queue and clicking the recalibrate button at the top. Then scan the swatch with your spectro.
  19. alternative

I did some with Drytac's Retac on a van a while back and had no complaints. The adhesive is fairly aggressive but stays removable. https://www.drytac.com/product/retacsmooth75/
  20. Anyone Using Avery MPI 1405 with the DOL 6460 Lam?

Yes it stays in recesses well. For warranty we give people 3 years. We are Zone 2 here so 1105/6460 warranty is 6 yr vertical and 3 yr horizontal. I tell people it should last longer on vertical surfaces but you might notice ink fading after 3 yrs.
