In my opinion, the version 3 training cd was useful.More helpful than the manual, in a sense! The Enroute forums were equally useful, and the 'help' videos attached or prepared for those questions.

Sounds like the switch/sensor at the left end might be kaput? Try moving the pinch wheel at that end, to the right by say 1/8", and see if that helps to 'wake it up'. Other than that, it may be a loose wire, somehow, under the cover. Or it may be the end of the machine's useful life...

Well, last time I thought about it, the answer was "Signs do!" What type of signs? Whatever the client asks for or needs-longevity & budget permitting-otherwise we might use something other than cut vinyl, like paint, with a brush, or an airbrush... Junk cheapy signs from calendered vinyl...

Is your problem getting the plotter to cut from Illy, or in getting Illy to let you put an offset/countur/outline (call it what you will) out from the letters, or both?
