  1. Temporary Exterior Sign

Others have offered some good suggestions. I don't think a job like this about substrates it's about end result. For example sign shop A can provide a nicely seamed whatever ac whatchamacallit and sign shop B can do a no seem whatchamacallit that is cheaper than sign shop A Then there is sign...
  2. ***AUCTION*** 24x12 & 12x18" 3mm Aluminum Composite

I pitch that much worthless scrap in the dumpster on a daily basis. If you or anyone else think it is worth something feel free to come dumpster diving. If you have no need for it like I have no need for it how is this a steal for someone ? These kind of ludicrous offers from merchants bug me.

  6. Help pricing sign..

I dunno. I'm doing a 2x3 right now for $3,500 but it's probably a different kind of sign. If it is a restoration I would want more because it is a specialty. If you want to specialize in old sticker restorations (OSR) then charge the standard osr rate. I would suggest staying away from this...

  8. Scissors

Very cool I love seeing and doing these kinds of projects. It's amazing the stuff that imagination and a properly setup sign shop can produce. Software and a cnc are my favorite toys. I still love making signs but after 25 years some of the work bores me. It's jobs like this that re-charge...

  10. Help choosing laminator

Mark you are obviously a sign making professional. Curious as to why you would recommend a roll laminator before a flatbed. I would like like to hear your thoughts on this.

  12. Help choosing laminator

Anybody out there with a flatbed have any problems with their machine not doing its job each and every time without failure ? Roll to roll laminators are going to be a thing of the past very soon. Unless of course you are doing 150' runs all the time Most shops on this forum are doing small...

I think the technical term "squiggle"
  15. Laminating Issue

All roll to roll laminators are a PIA. The vendors who sell the printing machines and laminators are misleading you the uninformed and un educated new-be. If you are a small shop doing one off prints I think the best laminator is a flatbed like a Rolls Roller. They pay for themselves in short...

Yup happens to everyone. I just had a 25 year customer shop our latest project. He took our sketch to another shop looking for a price. Luckily the other shop was a friend of mine who called me and asked how much I was asking for the job so he could quote it much higher. He tacked on a couple...
