I did it. came here first, got beat up, bashed and looked down upon... and then I did it anyway, made $4K, and ended up getting photos of my work in a trade mag too! I also got 2 more box trucks that didn't require wrap-overs, as well as 3 vans.. sure, there are things that could go wrong, so...

use a tree for that "something higher" you were looking for. I've rapelled out of 100 trees, up to 180 ft. tall... but you need climbing spurs, and a D-ring belt with a flip line... but you can scale a huge old conifer with no limbs for the first 100 feet... makes a great rappel!

I've done miles of reverse engraved plaques, but didn't see the matte clear option for those textured samples, which would then need a white diffuser... but I'm pretty stoked with my custom solution anyway... I would love to hear what paint your associate might be using, if you happen to ask...

wayne, the problem with the CNC idea is the size of the copy. I would have round inside corners from the rotating tool, which isn't a big deal on larger stuff, but shows up a little more on small copy. I've broken so many 1/16th tools, that I wouldn't trust expecting to make it through over 100...

well, I honestly never saw this done before, but when I bid the job, I thought i would just paint over vinyl mask... but as I got closer to time to do the work, all the 1" copy for 20 directional signs made my eyes go numb just thinking about cutting, weeding, applying AND removing all that...
