  1. clearing over floor decals

We've had customers wax right over floor graphics, I can't say that it helped longevity, but some have been there for about a year in a grocery store. Lots of heavy cart traffic and foot traffic.
  2. What techniques do you guys use to cut perforated vinyl without it messing up on edges?

I tend to just use my finger(s) between the knife and frame as a spacer. Might not be the safest, but I find it easier to adjust for width and faster than reaching for another tool.
  3. Color Matching

We get a sample and match it to a pantone book. Then it's just a matter of getting as close as possible with the printer.
  4. Need Help blowing leaf effect

Easiest way I know of would be to make whatever shape you are using into a brush in photoshop with size + angle jitter and scattering turned on. Sort of paint it in at very high res and then bring into illustrator and auto trace. The illustrator brush is also capable of scatter but I've never...
  5. Suggestions Best way or tool to cut vinyl on edge of glass wall

By bevel do you mean where the glass has an angle on the face or where the glass meets the frame?
  6. Panels/tiles not lining up on 360 with Onyx 12

I've noticed that the 360 seems to feed differently depending on the size of the roll (full, half, quarter etc.). I see this when printing double sided banners. The banners from the beginning of the roll seem a bit shorter than the ones from closer to the end of the roll. And then when printing...
  7. My first wrap

Yea it's just momentarily. I haven't wrapped with Arlon film so I can't help there. For heat guns I have two in my kit. A DeWalt with a simple on/off switch and some temperature adjustment for general use, quick and easy to use, and a Wagner with digital temperature adjustment for when I need...
  8. My first wrap

From the product bulletin: "3M recommends using additional heat in the post-application process for vehicle graphics. During this process, 3M only recommends using a heat gun to make sure the film surface temperature reaches a minimum of 200F (93C) and does not exceed 225F (107C)."
  9. Siser Colorprint PU with Low Heat - No Success. Other option?

The ColorPrint PU needs the Siser high tack mask. The easy mask is for the ColorPrint Easy. We had this exact same issue 2 weeks ago when our supplier ran out of Easy and sent us PU, we had to get the other mask from Siser to make it work.
  10. Temperatures

edit: nevemind I was reading about the wrong type of film
  11. New to color heat transfers and need informations

What material did you try with your HP? We use Siser ColorPrint for heat transfers on our 360 and have had great results. We get it from ND Graphics.
  12. 831 Maintenance Cartridge

Here's a link: HP Supplies Recycling Order the amount of boxes you need and then you just fill out the prepaid shipping slip and you're good to go. Pick 16-1000, otherwise they will send you envelopes which are too small for large format consumables.
  13. Need Help Back Up Solution

Best practice is to have an onsite and offsite backup. Synology NAS solutions are great, particularly the ones with redundancy drives. Along with something like carbonite cloud backup. Basically what Canuck said.
  14. Which one is the best

whenever I see that, I add tension to the media by hand and raise the roller so that it is on the verge of not feeding through for a couple feet, then release the media and lower the roller back down.
  15. Banner Wielder Problems

Here's a photo of where it is, between the two silver screws, there's one above each element, just remember to spin the metal lever and not the grub itself.
  16. Question Tips to cut coroplasts quick

We do these with a paper cutter we use for color copy jobs. Cut along the flutes with a coro cutter and then feed them into the cutter about 8 at a time. If you don't have one of those, panel cutter most likely. (The small guides you can set up on those make it go pretty quick)
  17. Banner Wielder Problems

At the top in the middle of the elements there is a grub screw with a metal lever on it. Spin the lever clockwise to lower pressure and counter-clockwise to increase it. You may have to adjust the nut that sits where the grub screw goes into the elements. I had to play with ours quite a bit to...
  18. Banner Wielder Problems

My guess is the tension on your copper pulleys is too loose causing it to shift. There's a screw that adjusts that. Also try changing the pressure on your heating and cooling elements.
  19. 831 Maintenance Cartridge

I order boxes from their recycling program and send them back along with used ink cartridges and printheads.
  20. Video game trailer wrap

We had a local used game store using Mario as past of their branding, they ended up in a lawsuit and now use a vague pastiche of Mario. I'm sure it is very rare, but Nintendo is especially vigilante when it comes to using their content. I'm sure a lot of companies just don't care.
