Summa DC4 printers can print a "perf" pattern so that you could print to an optically clear vinyl, overlaminate it and you would be good to go. You could also probably do something similar with any other printer that prints white, I just know there is a setting for it for the DC4 that does it...

Not having any issues here. Only time I have problems is when I am testing new substrates, especially items that I think won't handle the heat well and the passes run together since the heat was too low.

Everything that comes off of our L25 goes straight into finishing/assembly. Being it getting laminated, hemmed, or applied straight to a substrate. With our JV3 we had to let stuff outgas, not to mention the smell. The smaller Seiko we demoed had the same odor, if not worse.

First tip to doing double-sided banners. Oversize and don't push important graphics to the edge. Exactly what's off? What are you doing to get it started in the same place?

Win 8 "Metro" makes sense for a tablet. Full blown desktop usage, it doesn't work. I know there was a way to get to a "old desktop" screen but it was severely crippled from what a Win 7 or earlier desktop experience is. I just don't see the point, even with as cheap as MS is selling discounts...

Grey back media we have prints great and works really well in retractables, we used to use Durasol as well.

Plan on buying enough copies of 7 to get all of our office computers up to that and then sit there, 8 isn't touching any of our computers.

We had zero issues with the Triangle bulk ink system when we ran our JV3.

We do everything on clear vinyl applied to translucent lexan. That way I don't have to stock any translucent vinyl.

A lot of ways to do it. In house method here is to print two files, one reverse. Use white lexan, put the right reading vinyl down first, flip the lexan over and then align and apply the reverse vinyl on the rear.

May not be on paper, but someone with an Edge or Summa could print the gold.
