I was also thinking maybe not the encoder. First I would change the head cables with OEM (which is the cheaper fix). They do get contaminated with ink spray. Then the head (which is the expensive fix) ! But change the cables also. I hope it's a cable as that print test is perfect. SC

That has to be a dirty encoder strip or cable issue as the heads cannot go out of line as the head is a complete unit with all four colours built in. SC

We looked at service contracts and extended warranties on our machine. But when you add it all up it was cheaper to buy a new print head and all the other parts that wear out. Good maintenance is all you need. SC

That heater setting is way to high my machine runs at an average of 32 - 35 - 37. What will be happening is the heat and the roller is distorting the material. Turn the heat down and try again. Also clean the rollers as they may become sticky with the excess heat. SC

Pictures would be helpful. It sounds like the rollers are contaminated. Unclip them and give them a clean. I have cleaned mine a few times and it does help. SC
