Hi Sadly this is an error that kind of covers a whole load of different errors. We fixed ours in the end by changing the encoder disk but if you do a search on here you will find numerous occasions this error has been discussed. I would get have a look through them first to check which scenario...

Dirty Encoder Disk or Encoder strip. That is my best guess on this one. If the problem is in the same position it has to be the encoders. Clean with denatured alchol. SC

Personally that looks great. I have seen other large companies sending prints out with machines that have bigger issues than that. I would carry on printing but if you feel the need to replace I would take the old head of your hands! SC

I think they do go out of date eventually. You could reset the date by puling the battery on the main board ,it is a bit fiddly though. That will probably bring it back on line. SC

If I was changing the head I would be changing the maintenance station complete with pump. Also only use a genuine Mutoh head cable as I have heard issues with aftermarket ones. SC

+1 for laminating. I learned very early on that ALL digital prints have to be laminated for them to last over 6 months. Even though the manufacturers rsay the prints can last for 3 years + I have seen them fade within 3 months! SC
