hahaha nice J Hill! Scott, good call on the wildlife. That's got my gears turning! Just to re-cap, I was looking for some help getting idea's on imagery for this logo that doesn't include a bank building or a house.
  3. Mortgage Lending Logo

Thx BigEasy, I will try again to get the escarpement ridge. I already have about 20 sketches trying to do an escarpment 'ridge' but it's darn hard to have it recognizable as a ridge. So I was just like "I'll make a rock instead" haha
  4. Mortgage Lending Logo

Hi All, I've been given the task of creating a logo for a mortgage lending company. Called Stoneridge Lending Inc. The Stoneridge name came from the area the company is located. It's located on the Niagara escarpment. Which if you don't know what that is, it's basically a large limestone ledge...
  5. Photoshop Help Please

    ah. You're right Sightline. oops.
  6. Photoshop Help Please

+1 I used to have this problem on an older version of ONYX. Make sure your colour settings in Illustrator & photoshop are set to Adobe RGB 1998. So when you export from one to the other the profiles are the same. I believe this is because sRGB (which you have photoshop set too) is a wider...
  7. Photoshop Help Please

Ya, we need more info dude. I'm not exactly sure what "hazy background the size of your artboard" means? What does the image size dialog say for size and resolution? What size are you printing the image? What edits did you do? What type of file was the original? It's not Bokeh is it? haha...
  8. Should I charge more than $29 for this sidewalk sign?

The price is awesome. You should probably sell them in 2's, or bundles of 5 and put coroplast wings on them for when they fly away in the wind. You can tell the customer at least it's good advertising having a flying sign.
  9. Anyone get this from their websites?

Probably a scam. Looks fishy. Tell them you only accept Bitcoin. Paypal now supports Bitcoin and is rolling it out. Safest way to do business online and cheapest. No fee's.
  10. Bullets, Bullets, Bullets....

Hey Gino, Londonmoon is new, has only 7 posts so far. Maybe give them a chance? besides a website is sort of a sign...a binary one. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you're 24,000 posts deep here, yet I haven't ever seen any of your work, or anything helpful to be honest. Only jokes from you...
  11. Bullets, Bullets, Bullets....

    List-style-image property. HTML: <ul> <li class="b1">The dog is big</li> <li class="b2">The dog is small</li> <li class="b3">The dog is medium sized</li> </ul> CSS: ul { margin: 0 0 0 32px; line-height: 1.5 } .b1 { list-style-image: url(image1.gif); } .b2 {...
  12. Sign blog

Nice work! I've been struggling with the blog idea for a year or so now, I like how candid yours is, I feel like if I were to start us a blog I wouldn't be able to "keep it real" like you have done, because well I'm just an employee at the shop and my views may not be my bosses -kinda deal...
  13. Website

Why are you asking if the stuff on your site is legal? Did you not purchase the clip art yourself? Very strange man... Because you are not sure, and the fact that all the images on your site are sold on hundreds of very very similar sites. I'm going to take a guess that the person supplying you...
  14. learn Photoshop

    It's okay I understand....they just don't know photoshop. :ROFLMAO:
  15. learn Photoshop

If you want to learn a bit of photoshop for sign related things. Everything you need to know is on youtube or easily google-able you just need some topics to search. I think that is the info we should be giving you, not telling you to learn illustrator. Some things to look-up. (not in any...
  16. Banksy!!!

damn. Blek le rat is exactly the same as banksy.
  17. Banksy!!!

I would love to spend a day with Banksy. I've always fantasized about doing graffiti, but I don't live in a repressed place so I don't have any desire to deface people's property. haha How can you not like "his" work artbot?! It's powerful stuff! I especially like the pieces he did on the west...
  18. Early Christmas present!

Those are awesome!! Good call on gifting that to yourselves!
  19. Curious about Graphic Tablets... or some such item

I use the intuos line from Wacom. Medium size. It's awesome. Spec-wise (pressure, sensitivity, tilt, pens) everything is the same between intuos and cintiq other than the screen obviously. Cintiq is a want not a need IMHO unless you have crappy drawing skills to begin with...
  20. New 3D HP Technology - Sprout

I'm curious what one would do with this thing. All I can think of is that it'll open the door to all kinds of horrible, horrible things. Look what people do with photo copiers for god sakes! haha
