Not sure if all states do these, but the broke State of Illinois does whatever they can get away with as a “revenue booster”! lol
Talked with Stouse on the phone this morning and they think their material is the same or very similar to the acetate, so they're going to quote me on that. We'll...
The adhesive goes on the face side and applied to the interior side of the windshield. The acetate material is very thin, delicate and easy to tear making it’s tamper proof and can’t be removed and applied on a different vehicle. It gets scraped off with a razor blade then it garbage. I have one...
Stouse was the first supplier I thought of, but I'm not sure if they offer something like this. I just sent them an email right now though to find out for sure. Hopefully will hear back soon. Any other suggestions? I even did some google searches to find any hits on a printer who is providing...
Can anybody recommend a wholesale supplier for city/village resident windshield decals with the specs below?
Stickers (decals) are approximately 2.5" x 3.25"
Printed on 2mil translucent acetate material
Bend N' Peel backing paper with instructions
Three (3) Different Classifications (Passenger...
That was my very first plotter and 14 years later it still gets used everyday to cut vinyl! It’s been a real workhorse with zero issues whatsoever! Sounds like a cache issue. When you plot, can you see that it sends all the data to the plotter or does it get hung up or send it spiratically? If...
Honestly, I couldn't be happier with the Grimco Chicago branch! When I was starting out and wanted to get into the business, after a little research I stumbled upon an open house at Grimco. I came home with my first plotter and Signlab software and the rest is history. 14 years later Grimco is...
Thinking of a unique name is the most difficult part. Then thinking of a unique name where there isn't another business out there with a similar name that can be confused for yours is even more difficult. Then once you have a unique business name all figured out, but then realize the .com exact...
For this I would tell them to do a small negative offset path, which means instead of cutting right on the path, it cuts slightly inside the path. Doing this results in your actual path becoming the bleed.
I need to add the senators name along with his district in dimensional letters along side this plaque on the wall. Unfortunately the state seal logo doesn't have all the letters of the alphabet and numbers to break a part to spell his name and district number.
What font is used in this state seal? Also, I'm tasked with making dimensional letters for one of our state senators office and he wants the same font in the seal. I'm afraid the stroke width of these particular letters is going to make it difficult, so can you recommend a font family that looks...
Just looked at it after reading your comment...it looks pretty good I think. Just a very thin, hard to notice line in the center going all the way across the width. There isn't any deep gashes in it or anything. Not sure what a bad cutting strip looks like?
We're contour cutting digitally printed graphics and it seems the corners of letters aren't cutting or the cut is stopping just slightly too short. Any thoughts? Is there a setting to over cut slightly at the end of each letter make sure it completes the cut around the letter entirely? I just...
