  1. Un conventional Channel Letter Concept

Good price, good warranty, good selection of sizes. Give Glantz a call.
  2. Masking tape...

I see 3M has a version of this out now (assuming the Gorilla was out first - maybe I just never noticed it) as well (Scotch Tough Duct Tape), although I haven't tried it. I use Gorilla tape for patterns on masonry and hanging patterns outside when it's windy. The stuff is great.
  3. Un conventional Channel Letter Concept

You bet! You might want to look into JT LEDs.
  4. Adhesives...

I've looked at their products as well. Sometimes it feels like the longer I'm in this business, the less I know. I was shopping around yesterday and figured silicone was silicone and that it would pretty much work on virtually any surface. Turns out (if I'm understanding it correctly) that...
  5. Installing Big Flat Signs to Corrugated Metal Buildings.

Sounds like a good plan. :thumb:
  6. Flex face sign help

SignComp for the cabinet material, N. Glantz or similar for the flex face material. There are a number of manufacturers. Panaflex and Cooley are probably the most widely used. Your best bet is to call those companies and get an education. It's a lot to learn just through a forum. Vinyl...
  7. Adhesives...

For installing dimensional letters, ADA signs, etc., I normally use clear silicone - usually GE ll, sometimes GE l. GE l is just over $5 a tube, GE ll is just over $6 a tube. While I don't want to sacrifice using a quality product, I've been looking around to see what other options there are...
  8. Un conventional Channel Letter Concept

Very nice work... Reverse (or halo-lit) channel letters employ a similar technique. They're not as common as face-lit channel letters and I've never understood why. The look during the day is cleaner and at night it's a more subtle, cleaner illumination.
  9. Gemini/Acrylic Cut Lettering on Composte Aluminium?

VHB tape and silicone for solid, dimensional letters. Silicone for pad-mounted letters. No need for mechanical fasteners. It's not going to 'tear' or cause the facing to come off the panels.
  10. Holographic business cards

4Over has the 4D lenticular cards...
  11. Banner frame systems...

It's been a long while since I've had to deal with banner frame systems. Can any of you recommend a system or supplier or Merchant Member that offers this (other than the obvious like SignComp)? I'm looking for something for pretty large banners (roughly 30'h x 10'w) on an exterior fascia...
  12. How to back-spray large translucent face?

There's no reason you can't do this if you're just supplying the faces now. As Keith mentioned, get the V.O. and cut size, send it to your thermoformer of choice (I'd recommend Faces) and have them ship the faces (assuming it's within your budget).
  13. -

I think a lot of people have probably closed this thread after seeing they had to download a pdf to view the artwork. :) Might want to upload a jpg...
  14. Any idea...

Thanks for the responses guys. All answers sound plausible. It was strong stuff whatever it was.
  15. new cordless rotary drill

Good specs on the Bosch. They've definitely become more of a competitor, which is good. It makes everyone else build a better product.
  16. Any idea...

...what kind of adhesive this might be? This stuff was ridiculously stretchy and a pain to remove. I know it's a shot in the dark, but thought someone on here might be have a clue what it was. It was almost like mastic. Weird. Anyway, the stuff did it's job pretty well...wouldn't mind having...
  17. Going bigger, but how?

I would say to go see how he built the frame and duplicate it.
  18. Glue for direct mount to wall

In the sign industry, they're known as 'studs'. :thumb: An 'anchor' is the piece that is separately inserted into the wall.
  19. Outdoor sign with interchangeable letters, Reader boards

Might check into Wagner Zip Change as well.
  20. New GraphicLabsTV website

Welcome to the site and I think you have some great ideas. Just looked through your site and your old store was great. It's obvious a lot of passion went into it. It's a shame O'Reilly's did away with everything you did, but that's to be expected I suppose. Your videos look great so far...
