  1. Vehicle Wrap design critique...

I like the first one. The other two almost look like open-ended box wrenches.
  2. Peeling vinyl...

These would be the most affordable and easiest options to implement lol But there would still be seams and they would still get picked at. The existing vinyl has laminate over it and there are places the kids have peeled chunks out of it. It's ridiculous... This is one of the options...
  3. Un conventional Channel Letter Concept

It could be done, but why? If you put a face on it, you would never know it was ACM. If you didn't put a face on it, you would know it was ACM, but again, not sure what the purpose would be or what would justify all of the extra work. You would have to route a huge number of V-grooves to achieve...
  4. Now THAT'S how you execute a prank

Exactly what i was thinking - lawsuit waiting to happen.
  5. Going bigger, but how?

I'm confused. You built it 20' wide and want to build it wider...just use the same construction method as you did originally. ...?
  6. Peeling vinyl...

Sorry...vague post made in a hurry. This is all solid 48" wide digitally printed vinyl covering the walls like wallpaper. They extend anywhere from 8' to 10' (or more) up the wall. The customer is ok with, for example, printing to 4'x8' or 4'x10' pieces of ACM and laying that over the existing...
  7. Peeling vinyl...

I have a customer that is having issues with interior vinyl wall graphics being picked at by little kids. They pick at the seams and once it gets started, everyone keeps picking at it. I'm wide open to any ideas to remedy this. One of the possibilities being considered is printing directly...
  8. Finally got my garage straightened up...

The Bentley and BMW are both armored. The bags of money are deposited to my account. :) Kidding...pretty awesome place though. They had a H1 hummer they were working on when I was there.
  9. Replacing pan faces...?

A pan face is normally used in a sign cabinet for a reason - typically because the use of a flat face will cause the lamps to be too close to the face. So unless someone used a formed face strictly for aesthetics and there's actually enough distance from the lamps to use a flat face, you likely...
  10. Finally got my garage straightened up...

No, lol...it was an install I did today at an armored vehicle company. Pretty cool place.
  11. Finally got my garage straightened up...

Took forever to get the floors swept and mopped. Stinkin' Bentley is always right in the way...
  12. This Summer's Mural Project.

    That's awesome - nice work!
  13. Overall Height 13' 6''!!

Typically, the wider and/or higher the bar is, the larger the pipe is. Aesthetically it just looks better. This is where superimposition comes into play. Take a photo of the location the clearance bar will be. Superimpose various dimensions of the clearance bar scaled to size. Normal clearance...
  14. Any Wordpress Nextgen guru's...?

Thank you - I'll try the thumbnail resize plugin. In the event anyone else runs into this, this is what was posted on the support forum...it eliminated the black border and stacked effect: Goto Gallery->Style, do a find for : background:transparent url(albumset.gif) no-repeat scroll 0%...
  15. Glue for direct mount to wall

You linked to their index page which has a ton of signs on it. I'm guessing you're referring to the Jet Cooper sign. If so - the sign isn't just "glued" to the wall. Those spacers are most likely drilled and tapped for studs which are then mounted into the wall. Since it looks as though they're...
  16. Simple semi dimensional sign

Well done - very clean looking.
  17. Any Wordpress Nextgen guru's...?

On this page and this page, the thumbnails each have a black border and then a 'stacked' effect. Does anyone know how to eliminate those items? I would also like the thumbnails on those pages to be a bit larger. I'm going to post on the support forum, but thought I'd try here as well...
  18. Huh?

Maybe he was just a really picky person. Might have just lost a good member.
  19. tips on painting cold rolled steel

Use stainless steel bolts. The way the bottom piece is twisted, I would imagine that's fabricated and decorative rather than a support feature. The existing cabinet is likely bolted and/or welded to the supports and how the new cabinet will need to be installed as well.

Center frame? Do you have a Sign Electrician's license?
