  1. RIP iMac Pro

IMO, i think the Mac Pros will stay true to itself. They copped a lot of backlash, professionals stopped using them etc. I believe the proper upgradable tower will stay. Same goes with their monitors. Yes they are stupid expensive, but they are built for pros, Film ind, photography (high end)...
  2. RIP iMac Pro

Apart from the "trash can" the Mac Pros have always been upgradable. There's some good videos on youtube where people buy the base Mac Pro and upgrade it. Even then, if something does go wrong with a part in there, it's easily replaced rather than replacing the whole thing. Back then, "Pro"...
  3. RIP iMac Pro

Im 99% sure it was a joke. but 11980HK is a laptop chip. Kind of an odd poke.
  4. RIP iMac Pro

You mean a 11900K? 11980HK is for laptops. I’ve been using both Mac and windows. I even have a 2012 mbp still working. while apple doesn’t force updates, software does stop working for older operating systems. The iMac Pro is. Bit of a waste as it’s not upgradable. And come a day it needs...

  9. To all Newbies Part 2

What needs to be added is: Q: My printer doesn't print the right colours / My printers don't match each other with colours. A: Calibrate your damn printer. Better yet. Calibrate your screen & Printer... since the most entry level device can do both. This topic comes up once a week.
  10. Reprint for free?

Using Email to approve or decline artwork is the professional way. It's not stuck in the 2000's... When we have a large job that has a proof with it, we require email confirmation for approval. Why? Because it's in writing, We don't care if you're doing a $50 job or a $200,000 job, Everyone is...
  11. How are HP 700W/800W's running now that they have been in the market a few months?

  12. Reprint for free?

that's a difficult one. Depending on how he acts, I would first tell them that you approved the proof (with a screen shot) so we went ahead with it. It's he fault for changing his mind after approving it. Notes for the future: Always use email Payment before print (that's how we work)

That's how ICC profiles work.. Want more rich yellow.. add magenta. All your colour profiles WILL be useless when you buy another printer. Media profiles are not a fit all solution.

  16. Idea for a new thread......................................................................

I do understand that. I was more for the quote "or should I say, took talent."
  17. Idea for a new thread......................................................................

would be an interesting thread to read. But i wouldn't call using a computer is less talented... It's very one sided. Just because some can use their hands, but not technologically inclined, doesn't mean it required more tallant to do one, not the other.
  18. Doing my homework for my next printer

Yeah I’m not sure on the prices of either. But was told it was to compete with the 700/800 series. Why can’t you utilise the speeds? I mostly use matte mode. Depending on the stock, we sit between 31-38 sqm. I’ve ran gloss modes up to 80sqm. Generally sits at 40sqm on SAV stocks. There’s no...

Just a suggestion. Not sure what OP wants to spend. But there’s also not much out there with white ink. Colorado is priced to compete with the HP 700/800 series. I was told the price by our sales rep but had forgotten Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
