It would take forever.
When i was in one of the UV printing groups (and discovered it's full of desktop uv printers) some would do braille on their mimaki JFX. would run 10 or more prints / pases over the stock using a 3 or 5 pass mode. same as running 10x boards on one of your slowest print modes.
4-6 weeks? Wow.
if your turnaround times are so poor, those companies should be investing in better, faster or just more equipment... or people. or both.
Barely 2m of waste using the 2nd roller. it's about. 1m - 1.5m max waste. but you said if you're switching out media a lot? that doesn't waste anything when you're switching between stocks.
Calibrating the stock... big deal. do it while creating a media profile - It's apart of printing.
Full...
Not sure why you're answering a year old thread....
And also, where do you see material waste with the colorado? when it literally starts printing right at the start of the stock.
Your budget is tight.
I would second using a Trade only printer to get started. This saves you money and saves you from buying crap equipment.
Then you can see what equipment you need to invest in. In that time your budget will also grow.
And also in that time, you can do further research in...
Encoder strip is on the big rubber roller.
Go to "tools and utilities" there should be a shutdown option. that does the proper shutdown sequence. unless your interface is completely different.
There's a difference between pushing ink though the heads, vs the heads jetting ink out.
IF it's not printing, check the ribbon cable first that goes to the head.
Lets start here,
Learn the foot paddles. There's a guide in the handbook. Maybe print the page off and stick it next to to the RMO.
Yes, i know the error you're talking about and i'm not sure what causes it either. Try cleaning the sensors and strips. I get it every now and then.
The error...
me too.
There's really not much to like.
Constant head replacements
Inconsistent sizes.
Inconsistent colours.
Ink drop size very high compared to competitors. (Grain)
Would help if you share your print speed/passes. lower the passes, the more grain you'll get.
Also.. im more concerned about the colour consistency over the left and right print of the same image. It's terrible. The text is cyan vs blue. The cameras are gray vs purple.
What's the vehicle? I see this sort of stuff on track cars where panels need to be removed, so screws need to be accessible. And also the graphic works on track cars are never the cleanest jobs as they get replaced every so often.
$100 for a 5x10 is extremely cheap.
Id be re-evaluating your banner price.
You'd charge those prices if you're selling as a trade price to another reseller.
And if you're buying it from someone else, how little are they charging? are you even getting a good product?
Honestly, what did you expect buying a chinese printer?
No one has ever come to this forum with good news when buying a printer from china.
- Lesson learnt, dont buy printers from china. (I hope for your sake)
