if that's the case, best bet is what mutoh have to offer. or sometimes check with the stock manufacturers if they have profiles to download.
Depends what version of onyx you have, you may have access to the printer and profile downloader -...
I believe OnPrintShop is your answer. It's quite popular.
Comes with starter templates and i believe all you do is add your own images and create some products etc.
I might be wrong, but i believe it's about $200 a month.
Damn the demo sites from "signcompanywebsites" are quite dated. all those visual and 3d effects.. looks like 1999.
Wordpress is probably the go to these days. Prefer it over WIX.
You could set up a decent portfolio site with wordpress and just pay hosting. You dont need a page builder like...
Unfortunately with print, people don't understand the difference between 2 different shops other than price. As most people will just expect the same print from either shop and will lean towards the cheapest one.
Simple philosophy, why pay more for the exact same product? because no one does...
Something like this?
We use something similar for glass. Except ours are double sided and padded. We made ours, but im sure some fab shop can put one together very easily.
That's entirely you choice how much you markup outsourced work.
For example, we don't do labels. but now and then we'd get clients asking for labels and they're long term clients. So we'd put 10% on it and call it a day.
All i did was ordered online which took me 5 minutes. labels came and my...
i wouldn't think so. (someone will know more than me)
but look at it this way.
The client is getting the exact same product for a different price. cheapest price will win.
But the client doesn't know you're both outsourcing the work. So the client may just want the cheapest price and if your...
No experience with either.
But as long as it can output an LAB colour value, it'll be good enough for out in the field type of work.
As long as "out in the field" means quickly getting a colour reference to take back to the shop and match.
I wouldn't rely on it for printer profiling though.
I don’t think he does. Seems like he posts in any printer thread recommending something from the stratojet lineup with no regard to the topic.
No updates for me. Colorado is running great currently, but Karibu S will likely be the upgrade.
some interesting reply’s so far.
Everyone has different needs so it’s always great to see what people would lean towards.
Myself, I’d go for a swissqprint nyala3s with white ink. It would cover everything we do.
Do you always have the need to spam post about stratojet? even in topic such as this one that has nothing to do with it?
A lot of us are getting tired of the same post on every thread.
IMO, your approach is wrong.
a well colour managed shop doesn’t have these issues.
if client asks for sample to make sure colours are okay, well print their sample with their file.
If client needs PMS colours, well print off a with a range of colours and use a spectrophotometer to pick the one...
This is just a bit of fun…
If money was no object,
What single printer would you buy for your shop and why did you pick it?
Rules:
- It needs to be able to run you’re shop for the next 5 years
- your old/current printers cannot continue to operate.
Goes both ways.
Windows scaling isn't great.
But these days, most software works with the scaling just fine. only the odd, lower budget software may have scaling bugs.
There was also a time this wasn't an issue when higher PPI monitors didn't exists.
Right click program icon - properties - compatibility - change DPI settings - select "override high DPI scaling behaviour - select "system" or "system enhanced" if system doesn't work.
This solves 99% of all scaling issues. which is what OP is describing with flexi 21.
Same issues presented...
