  2. Pricing Software

Unless you are a big company, the software probably won't pay for itself any time soon. I doubt if there is a free version of any software that is any good. If you subscribe to Sign Craft magazine, they have a free, up dated once a year, pricing guide that might work for you.
  3. Need Help White Foil ‘puckering’

I've found that the foil doesn't always stick to the ImageCal unless I change the settings. Never heard of the clear you are using so I'm not sure. Are you putting the white down as a primer? If so try setting the file with it as a primer or use the option on the plot page for backing/finish...

  5. Need Help White Foil ‘puckering’

What kind of clear are you using? Is it a Gerber clear? If so, did you click on "substitute" in the print options on the plot page and change the type of vinyl? If you are using ImageCal R or P, it needs to be set to that as the regular settings for 220 don't work as well. Did you set the...
  6. Got to thinking................................

I was in my second year of X-ray tech school and dropped out as I just couldn't abide with the way patients were treated. What did me in was a lady who had an IV that we were told was probably in her last good vein. The nurse told us to be careful and not let it stop running. The tech didn't...

  13. Truck door layout

Totally agree about the lack of keeping the general public from joining and getting free work done. I was surprised to see him get so far without being told this was not the place for him.
  14. Truck door layout

Exactly. Back in the old days around here, a person would post a design that wasn't horrible, just off a little. People would makes suggestions and by the end, the design was nice and tight. We don't get those kinds of design threads anymore and I miss that.
  15. Truck door layout

Anyone can redo someone's work. What really helps is to let them redo it. When you work a design, you are too close to it to always see what a unbiased observer might see. A few suggestions, in writing, go a lot farther than just redoing the work for them.

  18. putting edge or molding on aluminum composite

Some one did all the Hannaford stores cart return racks in their parking lots and used the molding on the signs. Within no time, the molding was coming off so it seems to be an issue. Has anyone had long term success and if so, what did you use to glue it to the panel?
  19. Truck door layout

;) I have a lawn the size of most bathroom mats. I also have no where to store a lawn mower. There's a guy who comes down our street and does these tiny lawns so I hired him. He also does our plowing in the winter.
