Is there a link for this stuff? I'm not looking to buy any, but am curious where you found these films. When I Googled it, I only found a link to a wide format print company.
I disagree. I think it adds the look of a patina, which makes the sign look like actual metal. Give it another 5 or 10 years and it might end up looking like crap, but this level of rust that is on it now looks good, in my opinion.
This one is from the same vendor. It's 13 oz and has been south facing and outdoors for just over 3 years now and it still looks about as good as the day we bought it. The lower half that gets a bit more exposure to the sun is starting to show a slight bit of ink migration into the white areas...
