Thanks, fellas! If I had to choose between the stress of having no work, or the stress of having too much work, I'd definitely choose the latter. Things have been stressful as jobs are piling up lately but damn getting paid sure is nice!
Well, we've now been in business just over six years. What started as a hobby cutting vinyl decals and printing t-shirts has become not only our business, but a thriving one. We started with an imported vinyl cutter and a used Lawson screen printing press for apparel. Since then, we've grown...
Yeah, that's not really an option for me. I found the canvas for much lower cost from another supplier. Still pricy, but this first job damn near pays for the entire roll and I know we'll have more of these jobs in the future. I'm just not thrilled about having to buy 50 feet of material if I...
Does anyone know if there is a vendor anywhere that sells Sihl canvas by the yard or in shorter rolls than 50'? Specifically I'm looking for Sihl 3609 Picasso Canvas Satin in 54" or 60" width. We have a job for a 60" x 36" canvas print and we only have the 36" material in stock. Any help would...
You know, it's one thing for a manufacturer to suggest that you might have installed a decal improperly, but the laminate? That's laughable. Do they think you dripped fried chicken grease all over the print before laminating or what? That's a shame. Sorry for your losses.
From my experience running a CJV150-130, you really should hardly ever have to run uni-directional to get good quality prints. I only use uni-directional on static cling material, which will look like the first images you posted or worse when printing bi-directional. When you print it...
We use Rustoleum oil based paints on MDO and they hold up very well. The only problem that we've had in the past is trying to mix custom colors. The Rusto white gallons are topped off pretty full so there's not much room left for adding pigment if you're looking for a dark shade of color. Light...
Thanks. The watercolor effect is just random layered blob shapes in varying levels of transparency. I do everything in vector. It tends to make realism somewhat a challenge and I like that.

I'd love to add a second Mimaki CJV 150-130 to our shop for that price. Even if the price went upwards of a few thousand dollars, it would be a steal. Too bad it's all the way in Miami and it would cost around $1500 or more to ship it here, plus the cost of having our Mimaki tech out to flush...
Couldn't they have just upgraded the Orajet 3651 to 3651RA and had basically the same thing? I wonder if they are phasing 3651 out or if there is just that much demand for the comparable 3M product.
IJ35 - 3.2 mil, calendered, grey permanent adhesive, 5 year rated.
3651RA - 2.75 mil...
