don't know what metamark is... but i use 3651 daily prints great works great... next time i order i'll probably try the 3165ra. as for vehicle graphics for most i try to stick with cast .... i use avery ezrs and 3m for wraps and large graphics and use oracal cast 3751 for smaller stuff

if you must contour cut what fred suggested is a great idea!!!

the edges of realistic flames are soft and a contour cut could look very strange what color is the car and what color would be around you flames to contour

if they wanted the front wrapped or the whole car i would purchase the cd... because i feel i could use it on other projects. by the way doesn't flame sell a similar cd of fire just not on transparent backgrounds?

if i had one person wanting these on a vehicle i would buy the disk... because now i have it to use on other projects including much smaller stuff. but if they only want a really small job the disk may not be worth it. it according to how much work like this you do are expect to do

i've only used esitimate and i'm happy with it, i'm a one man shop. it doesn't track inventory , payroll or any of that stuff, but works great as pricing and invoice ... as i understand cyrious and activity do that stuff

no sure exactly what you are trying but you can right click on the colors at the bottom go to color specs.. then if you are looking for pantone go to library tab pantone solid coated and chose that color and add it to palette ... you can also enter your own color and change its rendering...

update ... if from the production menu i chose "save to file" ... then save that file to my hard drive. (1/4 of the trailer is a 2gig file!) then i can add job back to production manger and it will print. but if i chose "send" it will go thru all the processing, RIPing, and display...

alright i have a large job that i've paneled in flexi7.6 and if i only isolate and print one panel at a time all is well.... but if i set it for multiple panels and send, it goes thru processing , RIPing, and says printing.... but it never starts? if i wait long enough soon it just disappears...

when i change to a different media it does do it ... that pic was 3651 and with heat settings at35-37 it does this its between the grit rollers and you can barely see the media is buckling a microscopic amount so the head is printing closer to the media. change to averyEZRS for a wrap...

yes between rollers it looks like a very almost invisible buckling in the material causing the print head to be closer to the print between each roller... i think i'm gonna try way lower heat and look into what Flame suggested about heat tape inside the printer ..... anybody (Flame) got some...

i've seen some threads on this recently and the only answer is heater settings.... i've tried a few different ones and still get this "striping" any others have this and did you cure it.

what's a tfence? i have this issue with my falcon

thats what i was thinking.... i have a falcon and it takes 1 hour to print a 4x8 panel. looks like the valuejet is 3 times the speed at the same quality. my falcon can barely keep up sometimes so i'm thinking of upgrading.

in the real world and a quality print how much faster is the VJ.. i see the ads quote so many sq ft an hour , but i know those numbers can be misleading. anyone have any experience.

rendering intents could be it... most vectors are RIPed with relative colormetric, saturation , or none and rasters are rendered mostly perceptual. set both intents the same i use relative colormetric .... the drop shadow effect is being RIPed as a raster.
