  1. Changing number of passes

The number of passes isn't going to change colors, just make them bolder. To what are your rendering intents set? What are you sending, bitmap or vector? CMYK or RGB?
  2. Graphtec cutting diagonal line through entire print!!! WTF!

When you cancel a job you should clear the buffer as well. Otherwise bog knows what's left and the cutter maydutifully try to start where it left off but if the blade was down when you stopped, Shrug.
  3. Font ID help?

There's a number of fat and fat on the bottom scripts. The one referenced above isn't even close to the original but there's a host of others. Check out letterheadfonts.com for a number of examples.
  4. Countour vectors

    Yes. No.
  5. Question Contour Cutting

If you're printing on white media the marks should be fine without any need to augment them with Sharpies, snot, or whatever. Redrawing marks by hand is tricky at best, usually silly, and always inaccurate. If you just have to get something contour cut and your auto sensing tackle is not working...
  6. Font ID help?

Head lettered, as is the secondary text. Whoever did it has a slight problem with 'S's. In the title all three 'e's are slightly different. Any title copy in most old logos are hand lettered. This one doesn't appear any different.
  7. Artist wants to cut...

Dressing the edges of aluminum laminate, unless you've cut it with a chain saw, does not require filing, sanding, deburring, or removal of material by any other means. Just reform the edges by running a piece of brass, a screwdriver shank, a piece of hardwood, etc., at a 30-45 degree angle along...
  8. Artist wants to cut...

Get a Cutawl. Very pricey new but used are available at reasonable prices. They last forever. There's a bewildering array of blades available for every conceivable purpose, Dibond included. With this tool you easily can cut any shape imaginable.
  9. Colors Blah??

You'll even accept criticism? Really? How is that your choice? What would you do if you didn't accept criticism? As to your printing woes, to what are your rendering intents set?
  10. Wanted Graphtec Pinch Roller

You don't need nor do you want three rollers on a 30" machine. The two rollers work just fine, adding a third does nothing but add something else that can go wrong. Iv'e been wrangling 30" machines for many years and there has never, as in ever, been a time when I needed or wanted anymore...
  11. Bunnytime

Which word don't you understand? I thought the picture posted by Mssr. Best captured the notion quite well in sort of an outside the box fashion.
  12. Bunnytime

Is that what people are referring to when they say "Run like a bunny"?
  13. FlexiSign Pro Gradients

Flexi's gradients leave a lot to be desired. The horizontal banding is because when the gradient is rendered it isn't a linear progression, rather it's a series of bands of solid color, each band differing slightly from the next band. There is no transition from one to the next. It's a step. The...
  14. Best drill bit for coroplast

If you simply musty drill then get a Forstner bit at any Home Depot or wherever. The commonly come from 1/4" up.
  15. Need Help BEST Software or add on to VECTORIZE LOGO

First of all the term 'vectorizing' is a misnomer. There's no such thing. The process is edge tracing. Since there is no vector information in a bitmap, at least yet but it might be possible, what everyone calls vectorizing really is nothing more than examining a bitmap and detecting, in the...
  16. Tariff on Sign Blanks?

Meant? As in predestination or something? How to you tell someone who is meant to fight a war from one who is not? Physical disabilities notwithstanding. What he actually said was "I like heroes that didn't get captured". A sentiment with which many, myself included, agree. The only thing...
  17. Tariff on Sign Blanks?

Doubtful it was born yet. Regardless of when it hit the planet, most likely it wasn't eligible for a draft that it could dodge. I think someone should mention Hitler or Nazis, thereby invoking Godwin's law and thus drive a stake through the heart of this thread.
  18. Need Help BIG PHOTOS - For a Store front graphics- Beauty Salon

The sites on the web are legion Shutterstock, 123rf, etc. Stay away from Getty, they think they crap gold bricks. Any one of the myriad of sites can accommodate your needs at reasonable prices. Whatever you get you'll no doubt have to enlarge it a bit. For this you'll want a good spline fit...
  19. Fluo yellow

DayGlo [trademark] and generic fluro, for want of a better term, colors are made with pigments ground to a specific wavelength. They essentially are monochromatic and are not reproducible in CMYK, RGB, LAB, or any other color space. They very much are their own thing color wise.
  20. How can I get a PEARL Colour

Pearl, much like candy apple, is a process not a color. You can't print them because they don't exist. They're the result of a base coat and layers of clear. In the case of pearl [in the past at least] the base coat was made from ground up fish scales. If memory serves. Probably something...
