Clip the little tab that sticks out the cartridge and continue printing..there's another thread on this that was just posted. It should at least get you through a couple more prints.

we snip the tab and finish the job usually, but don't keep printing more and more. I've always said someone needs to come up with a funnel system that allows you to take all the ink in leftover cartridges and combine them.

Yes...if you roll the vinyl a couple feet through the machien and back, sometimes it'll pull the wrinkle out (because of the taper)

In that case sounds like pinch rollers...does it do this with EVERY brand of vinyl that you put in the printer?

Am I misunderstanding something?? If it prints FINE with heat off...then you turn the heat on and the vinyl buckles....the heat is up too high, or you're using crap vinyl (which it doesn't sound like you are). 116F is HIGH, try 104print/112after. Why would the vacuum be a problem if it works...

Those patches are because of the vinyl wrinkling. Mechanical issues? How could it not be heat? That heat seems a bit high, it happens to us when the heat is up too high and we usually run around 104/112. Try those settings just to see if the vinyl still buckles. If it doesn't, your heat needs...

Try Arlon 3420G Lam if you don't like Oracal 210....see if that helps?

What's worth more, your time or gold vinyl? I would have just recut it. And I don't care what anyone says, 651 is great vinyl...

it WAS indeed linear encoder strip. Cleaned and now she's back up and running :)

Staples also sets your balance back to zero at the end of every month...we ended up saying screw it and tossing ours in the garbage.

Can someone point me to removing/cleaning the linear encoder sensor and removing the strip?

Same problem today with our SP300V....we printed ALL DAY LONG with perfect results. I turned the printer off, turned it back on twenty minutes later and now we're getting this blurry print. We just did the latest versaworks update but it ran fine all day with it and now it wants to print like...

We use oracal calendar (print AND cut) all day long on flat surfaces (van panels, vehicle doors, etc) and have had good luck with no failures or redos. Maybe we're doing something differently...

are you sure you don't have a piece of dust hanging from the head or the cut carriage acting like a paint brush?

Our printer does greys and browns with green hue -- We tone the cyan down a few clicks in versaworks and the magenta up one click which usually fixes the issue somewhat...
