My bad, 40600 has only one printhead, so my numbers are 8-12-16 indeed instead of 4-6-8; I worked with 60600 and 60800 which are both double printhead printers
I'm pretty sure the warranty works only if the printhead has no physical damage, and you WILL have visible physical damage on your printhead in 2 or 3 years.
I print a roll a week and printheads last for 4-5 years, yours should last for 20. No not really as every headstrike will damage the nozzles and I can see a deflection on your M2 at the bottom which is a clear sign of a headstrike which happens every now and then no matter how careful you are...
4 color setup makes no real difference in colors, but print speed will be almost double. Just make sure you always work in RGB mode not CMYK for racing stuff, also if your design contains a lot of reds try two pass print mode.
If curling up is more prominent on darker areas that means outgassing time was not sufficient. The heatwave shouldn't really matter as you apply vinyl on top of bonnets as well and the're perfectly fine.
The print needs to be 2m wide actually and applied to ACM with a 2.1m laminator. I know HP (or dy) and mimaki makes 3.2m wide printers so somebody must have it, right?
Thanks guys, what I've learned today is that alignment is subjective and there are no clear rules. One little trick I found is the use of a spirit level with rotating vial (like stanley 42495), so when I find a good placement on one side of the car I can mirror the same angle on the other side.
