  1. Used Roland machines, how much do they worth ? TrueVis VG2 54"

Which is insulting to their own customers. I've helped 1000's of people fix their own printers over the years. With the right information, patience, and a reassurance that they are capable of doing it, most people can fix their own printer.
  2. Help!

Did your dealer do any training? You're supposed to get training at install. Especially if you bought the printer and Flexi as a package from the same dealer, they should have at least gone through setting up the printer and doing a print/cut job. I don't leave an install until the customer has...
  3. Does anyone know if there is a way for the printer to bypass reading/detecting ink cartridges?

Helltown concepts I'm not 100% but if this is something you would want to try, I believe it would be the heater control board you would want. I replaced a main board on a machine that had the cards turned off and they still were turned off after the procedure so the main board didn't seem to...
  4. Printer problems

My first thought was a bad cap top or clogged pump tube but since all the nozzle are perfect except for cyan and yellow, I'm leaning more towards a bad damper or the head is damaged internally. If the dampers are older than 1 to 2 years old, that would be the more likely reason. If the damper...
  5. Got this complaint....

Before I read your post I looked at the pictures and thought, "Nice smooth install on that vinyl." What bubbles is he seeing?!
  6. Roland SP-540i printing paper problem

Looks like there might be a coating on that paper for aqueous inks. Solvent inks usually aren't compatible with that type of coating. There are solvent printable papers out there with no coating though.
  7. I need recommendations for a new printer

From a technical standpoint the Epson will beat any HP or Roland when it comes to quality. So if that's your top priority, I'd go with the Epson. The drawback will be they are pretty aggressive at preventing you from using 3rd party ink and support after warranty can be expensive.
  8. Error 50 Media width sensor error

Does the red light turn on when the media sensor is sensing?
  9. Mutoh XPJ-661UF - Flexi 21 and VerteLith Training

This is one on the same site for free that goes through everything in the RIP. It does have a section on ADA and Braille as well. https://mutoh.thinkific.com/courses/vertelith
  10. Weird clicking sounds VP300

Yeah sounds like the trailing cables/plastic guards slapping down to me. They tend to get like that in old age. Sometimes ink builds up on the plastic too which causes them to stick and not move smoothly. You can clean them with alcohol.
  11. Need Help Mimaki CJV30 No print

If ink flows during cleanings and the head doesn't fire a single nozzle, that's usually the F13 fuse but could be other damage to the main board, slider board, and/or head itself. If the fuse tests good, other than having the boards tested and fixed, you just have to throw parts at it unfortunately.
  12. Head Fuse confusion...

Every JV33 I've seen looks like the board on the left. The F13 fuse is the one to replace. My guess is your machine is pretty old and they hadn't added the replaceable fuse yet?
  13. Need Help Epson s60600 banding/missing nozzle

I'm surprised they didn't change the dampers. This is classic damper failure. When your machine is printing, as ink flows through the head nozzles, it pulls ink from the damper. The damper compresses under the pressure and eventually a little valve is opened to allow more ink in from the supply...
  14. jv33-160 ink error

The ink end sensor is probably broken. There's a little lever in the cartridge holder that gets pushed by a little flag on the cartridge when the cartridge is empty. If that lever gets broken, it will flag the cartridge as near empty for every cartridge you install. It writes it back to the chip...
  15. Mutoh Valuejet no ink after head installation

I agree. Also the dampers aren't crushing. As soon as the pump starts running the little circles in the damper should get sucked in and you can hear a crinkle sound from the plastic. Also, it looks like that's an aftermarket station as it has a blue wiper in it. I've seen issues with those...
  16. Rolan VS 300i cyan overspray

If your cyan nozzle check has a lot of deflections it will cause spray like that. Usually you can do a head soak and some cleanings to try and clear them up. If your nozzle check is perfect and still sprays, the head could just be failing but I'd check the head cables and environment conditions...
  17. Discussion New machine or repair old

They don't really make the ValueJets anymore although I think you can still get the Sign Wearhouse rebranded versions. Also keep in mind that there are 2 different kinds of solvent XpertJet. The XperJet and the XpertJet Pro. The Regular XpertJet is closer to a VJ1624 and uses the same head. The...
  18. Mimaki JV300 Plus or Epson SureColor S40600

It's not something I've run into with this machine but at the end of the day, you don't have to use the cleaning cartridge at all if you don't want to. All it does is put cleaning solution into the cap top once every 48 hours. You can either set that to a higher number or just not install a...
  19. Discussion New machine or repair old

$250 per hour service is on the high end for service from what I've seen but you are also in New York so that may have something to do with it. In general I see $150 - $200 per hour from the techs I've worked with around the country. It also looks like they quoted all OEM parts which is normal...
  20. Subtank Refill 98%..

If it's not clicking than it could be stuck shut. That wouldn't allow ink to flow into the sub tank and cause this issue. You can try opening and closing it a bunch of times to see if you can get it unstuck. If that doesn't work, you will either need a new one or you can try to flush it with a...
