  1. Outdoor Chalkboard Material

Thanks CS. Have you ever used this stuff? or know someone who's had success with it? It says Interior/Exterior use. I need something that is going to hold up for a few years. Is that the best option? I've never had an outdoor chalkboard request before... Thanks Jhill, Have you ever used this...
  2. Outdoor Chalkboard Material

Hey All, Just wondering if anyone knows of a good chalkboard material that will last outdoors. Also, where to get it in Canada? Need about 54"x24" for a sign. Thank you!
  3. As of today I am no longer a corporate employee and would like to share my experience

Your realization makes me put my tinfoil hat on. I instantly thought of how governments do that exact same thing. ie. police have IQ caps. If you're too smart you can't be a cop. or why does post-secondary school cost so damn much? Why is there still drug wars where a huge percentage of inmates...

  6. Photoshop Tattoo

Pretty cool right now. 10 years from now it'll be nostalgic, 20-30 years it'll just be a reminder of that curious time when people actually had control of computers. lol
  7. trying to draw ripped effect

This is not really useful for your application but for the photoshop nerds. Try ripping some paper and folding it to get the look you are going for and then photographing it with light sources coming from proper angles. Bring that image into photoshop. You can get some crazy graphics. Got this...
  8. 18oz banner for L25500

Varying applications. Skyscrapers, cranes, scafolding. etc Had to be approved by engineers and has to have blockout. Why do you ask? lol I feel like you are going to say something regarding viewing distance? (my tech said this to me) Which I understand, but we've printed on this stuff for...
  9. Worst Client Comments Turned Into Posters

haha nice! I especially like the one about using images from the internet. I recently had a poster worthy one customer comment. They said "I absolutely LOVE the logo update you did, but for the flyers I want to use my old one" GAH! :banghead:
  10. Like or not like

Cool car. Horrid Shirt. Nice man-purse. lol As for teh wrap I'd prefer it with the matte olive colour only. Looks like a camo-puppy car.

  12. 18oz banner for L25500

Sorry I'm slow....The Duratex is printing the waves on the back (it's double-sided banner) The front doesn't contain the wave pattern but it prints really blotchy. Like it's not laying enough ink. It looks very poor. Even using the HP heavy textile profile.
  13. 18oz banner for L25500

Hey All, Just wondering if anyone is printing 18oz banner on your L25500 or even 26500's? We've been printing on Ultraflex for a few years without issue, but lately we've had nothing but problems. The "Wave" pattern has been haunting us on every roll. I'm trying some Duratex 18oz as I type...
  14. photo-tex

Are there any suppliers in Canada that sell Phototex? Need to get my hands on some of this stuff.
  15. You had ONE job! (funny signage mistakes)

The ("olympic rings") one reminded me of my old boss. Who did all the engraving. A customer requested a lamicoid. He wanted something to the effect of "9999999a" Explained it to my boss over the phone as 9999999 with a small A on the end. Customer gets a lamicoid with "9999999 with a small "A"...
  16. Can anyone please tell me how to get this effect? please

Same here, gotta love photoshop. So many ways to get things done. I use high pass all the time though. In photography It's the best way to sharpen images. Not unsharp-mask.
  17. Can anyone please tell me how to get this effect? please

In Photoshop Copy the image to a couple layers. To the top image (which will be the line drawing) you could achieve the effect using image > adjust > levels. drag the left and right arrow to the center until you achieve the desired effect. Find edges may or may not work depending on the picture...
  18. Something has changed

Has something really changed though? I don't know about that? Honestly, there used to be a politics area that got prety heated and since removed and I seem to remember a guy named Old Paint who used to get under lots of peoples skin. Or bob...and I'm sure many, many more I can't remember who...
