I've been using Catalina 6 mil wall graphic vinyl for counters. It's got a good strong adhesive, but still removable and re-positionable. Also comes in 8mil.
I have printed a bunch of counter-top decals about 24" x 24" for a large home improvement store, using textured laminate and it worked...
Is your site a Wordpress theme that you customized to suit? If so, it just re-enforces how I need to get my hands dirty with some wordpress theme building like I've been meaning to do for so, so very long.
Beautiful site Joe! I really love the single page layouts that are all the rage these days.

If you are in fact running safari. Use Fontbook to validate your fonts. If that doesn't work, you might have to delete the system font cache. Which requires you downlading a...

Blender is awesome and very powerful...but be prepared for a steep learning curve. I used to use AutoCAD and Autodesk inventor for a previous job. Creating 3D objects with those programs is very intuitive, but Blender just throws all that logical stuff on it's head. lol Good luck.
I recall seeing this same issue a few weeks ago on S101. Can anyone find that thread for Oleg?
Have you tried print gutters along the edges? Does it still happen?
haha Nice Av weirdo. jk
I usually just place small squares on either side of the text in the cutfile and use those for alignment purposes. I use the square idea for lining up layered vinyl as well.
Very, very nice!
As for the Lost-Type fonts. I've been seeing them everywhere too. Not sure if you guys have Jack Astors In the States, but I went there recently and their whole menu is made up of their fonts.
