Maybe it is just me but each time I try and use Digiprint in the USA for parts their website seems hard to navigate.
Today I called and spoke to someone in sales who supplied me with the part number I needed but told me I could not order the part over the phone and instead order from their...
I just installed a New Ink Pump and I still cannot get ink to flow through the cap tops.
I have now replaced cap tops, all dampers and O rings and each damper is now full of the correct ink but I still cannot pull ink through the tubes under the cap tops even with a tapper syringe.
When I use a...
I have fixed the cross contamination problem by replacing the O rings on each damper and then drawing ink into each damper.
I still cannot pull ink through the lines of either head but I noticed that when I use the syringe to add some cleaning solution into the cap tops it is sitting there and...
China must be licking their chops with Roland Dealers refusing to sell just parts.
I know this may sound crazy but I enjoy fixing my own printer and since it has been out of warranty for years I really don't thing Roland cares much anyway.
I guess I will have to just use parts made some where...
It now appears that my cross contamination problem is back with both heads.
I am going to not only change dampers again but this time I am also changed the small O rings also. Some where there is a air leak I think that is the problem.
I have changed the drain lines and I even wondered if maybe...
Kingsdesigns:
That trick worked and thank you for sharing that information.
I did that to both cap top tubes and now they are both holding the cleaning solution.
Now I am hoping that in the next 12 to 24 hours that helps to get the heads working a little bit better.
Both heads are printing...
I tried a wooden close pin and it did not work.
I also tried a few other types of household clamps for bags and things but they also did not work.
Each time I put the cleaning solution on top of the cap top it simply drains down the tube and passed the clamps.

What style of clip to use to clamp off the cap top tube when doing a head soak.
I have tired a metal paper clip and other things so I was wondering what everyone else is using so that the cleaning solution stays in the cap top?
Thanks for your help.
Jim
I also placed an order for the tapered Syringes.
I was finally able to pull ink through both heads and the printer is once again working but this time was it was really harder then other times trying to pull ink through the lines.

I was at the Roland dealer one day and I told the Service Manager that I needed a fuse and I did not think quick enough before I spoke when I told him I had install a New DX-4 head.
He asked my where I purchase the head and when I told him I purchased it from a vendor in Belgium he refused to...
VanderJ:
I now have the magenta and yellow ink working fine but the black and cyan are still not working yet!
I noticed that each time I raise the capping station manually up into the heads the black & cyan cap top is in a slightly different position and appear to move. Not sure if I am...
I am asking this question to see if there are different ways of pulling ink through the heads with the capping station in place under the heads.
I have used this method many times but today for the first time I am having problems.
My SP-300V no longer let's me know when an ink cartridge is...
Not sure I understand the problem.
Roland will send a tech out to my home to convert my printer for about $1,100 dollars plus the cost of software but if I convert my printer myself and purchase the software thats wrong!!!!
Only difference I see is that Roland is making a lot money which just...
Maybe your right the pumps and other stuff are different but I can tell from converting my own SP-300 using ColorRip software and running on windows XP to an SP-300V it does work without question.
Once I converted my SP-300 to an SP-300V I am now able to use Versaworks software and my printer...
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and that great tip for checking the dampers.
Learning is a life long experience and I really appreciate you sharing your knowledge with myself and others on how to become better at fixing problems with our printers.
I purchased my Roland SP-300V in 2010 and...
I am using X-8 and it works fine and I am really do not upgrade each time a new one comes along.
I have using Corel Draw for the past 15 years and for the type of graphics I do it is the perfect program.
