  1. How do I stop this spammer

Get those all the time. Did you actually call the number? Do that and tell them in no uncertain terms that if you continue to receive the emails, you will take appropriate actions...
  2. Sustained high temperatures

The vinyl would be going on the air intake housing, so away from a combustible source. I agree, Gino, I've seen vinyl cook off a hood before as well - but I think we need to take into consideration the horizontal exterior exposure to that as well. Fred... yes, that's what I experience with black...
  3. Sustained high temperatures

Ok, sort of got into a lively discussion on an automotive forum about the use of vinyl in an engine compartment as decoration. Essentially, the owner of this particular car wanted to wrap his air intake with a carbon fiber wrap vinyl and was wondering on the life span. I thought it would be...
  4. Printed Reflective Gold Leaf

    Looks great!
  5. Greyscale (again) and striping..

Hi all, I'm currently printing a series of door badges for one of my local departments in grey scale. That in of itself isn't too much an issue. Having tried to print greys in CMYK and having them green tinted wasn't in the cards, so I designed everything as greyscale and printed in greyscale...
  6. Corel X7 Question

In the contour flyout in Corel, you can choose both your fill and line color in one shot.
  7. 3D printing signs

Not exactly signs, per se.... Methinks I can cut/carve that B (and the rest of the alphabet) long before the printer ever finished.
  8. Wet or Dry application (Hood Decals)

Whatever you feel comfortable with. Just did a Mustang with one of their kits not too long ago. Set up to do it wet, did one half wet and the other dry... found it was easier to do it dry.
  9. Drawing a track map for vinyl sign

Correct. You'll need to select only the track outline(s) and actually add an outline to it. The result will be three lines - your original track outline, and the resulting "inner and outer" outline. If you color the outline in the Corel callout, you'll be able to see what you're doing much better.
  10. Mutoh ValueCut 1800

Why are you adding contour and cut in Flexi when you can do that in Corel? If you're just using Flexi as a cut program, then just use it as a cut program. Otherwise purchase CoCut and cut directly from Corel.
  11. how in the world is this done?

Those FB photos he's calling "dimensional wraps". That tells me it's a holographic film that he's printing on, likely a thermal printer that can handle the white and metallic foils, like Gerber or Summa.
  12. Sign Type

Gee... looks to me like a simple lit box with the letters reverse weeded from green vinyl, then applied smaller red letters on white acrylic. Let's not over think this...
  13. product or custom print?

Cool stuff on there. But absolutely no contact information on the company anywhere on the site!
  14. This is a really cool site

:-) Just clicked on an icon to see what it was and got a departure location but a question mark for the arrival location. Hmm......
  15. So Im bidding a job....

No information - what are you bidding? Painting on the wall, ACM with vinyl? What? And if you don't have time to do a "thorough" bid... maybe you shouldn't be bidding in the first place.
  16. This Lily Cam looks great

That's neat! That has all kinds of uses..
  17. Do yourself a favor...

How much of the wheel do you have left after the truck? I can see where doing large flat areas this would work great, but the MBX is better at curves and detail work. And I dial my air pressure down... works "better" without fear of burning the paint, just a little slower.
  18. Clear Bra - what is it made from?

Any wholesalers for the XPEL? Buying off their website can get expensive quick if you want a log roll of the stuff.
  19. Digital pinstripes

Very nice! Would look great on the front of an old time refrigerator.
  20. Printed gold leaf

I think that's a pretty good start! With some adjustment with the color, you could get pretty close to the real deal. Try double passing the print, sometimes that will deepen the color without affecting the overall image. That's going to be handy for printed reflective, among other things!
