i would think you could get a couple of washes with out damage. think of the abuse decals get when you do truck lettering. pressure washing, the sun and bad weather. i also have a customer who does paving and i letter his dump trucks on the dump bed with no issues and with black top in the truck...
we do the same here you just have to change the way you attach to the take up real but no difference in the way the machine works. must be an adjustment/setting to correct
we have only had rolands so can't comment on the others but when we where shopping roland seemed the easiest to use and the prices where good. we went printer cutter just so we wouldn't have two machines taking up room and after 11 years of digital printing we have 3 rolands. no major issues and...
i think doming on vinyl would be a bad move. high risk that the dots could fall off. not enough adhesive surface to grip and if dots start falling off the braille may go from saying men's room to pee here(that could be a problem)
i would normally try to help the guy out but if he is being a jerk then can't help you or just give him a really high price. i have one customer who knows i work late and he will call at like 7 or 8 or 9 at night. i don't even answer the phone anymore. we have a company shut down twice a year...
we are net 30 with all vendors but some of my customers not so much. i have one that told me they pay in 60 days and if that's no good they will take the business else where. they are ok sometimes they get a little behind and we have to remind them by holding back on some orders till they get...
can you do a test cut? i think if you use more pressure you can go with the 45 blade.
we use roland print cut systems (vp & xc) and only use the 45 blade. oracal 3651 & 3164 w/ 210 lam 160-180g depending on how old the blade. and when ever i use a material i never cut before i just do a test...
Cripe's.... $50........ I could spend an extra 2 or 3 hours a week for 14 weeks typing all this stuff out and then having to keep track of all the individual prices for when a same size piece just happens by, I have continuity. More like an extra $3,500. all total.
i didn't realize there was...
before my herniated and bulging discs it was drinking, basketball, drinking, weight training, drinking, karate. now it's mostly just drinking. the past 6 months haven't done anything
(i work alot, does it count as a hobby if you are getting paid?)
sounds like they want you to give them a bill for each sign?
when you give them the bill can't you list each sign as a line item and just put that divided price from the total . you might have to adjust the small signs a little less and the big signs a little more but in the end your total...

we have done a bunch of jobs through merritt and always had good results and a few of them were rush jobs and they got them done.
we even had one job that the customer was hounding me and he went up to the merritt shop to pick up and of course they got there early ( i think the...
a question i could use some info on as well. right now we use catzper. it works on the LAB %'s of the color. it's pretty good we have had good results but you still have to have a target color to start with. it doesn't scan a color and give you the formulation.
once yu give it a target color it...
wow that sucks. i had a similar situation with the mortgage once but they took out a double payment. normally my personal checking has enough to pay bills and that's it. so they take out a double payment because of a computer glich then i stopped to get gas after work and my debit card wouldn't...
here is one of the situations. in one spot they have a sharpie, highlighter and the utility knife in a small box but also in that box is the packing list envelopes for shipping so when they just throw the knife in there (open) you don't always see what's going on you reach in the box to grab any...
A lot of Band-Aids scattered around ready for business also..haha
it's all good. i realize it takes just as much time to look as close it and most of the time i do but it's definately safer if you close it when you are done
