I've been waiting 2 months for a Ij180cv3/8518 bundle from Grimco. (Canada) Luckily we're also stocking Avery bundles (when we can get them) and we haven't needed much of the 3M stuff lately, but still crazy.
What used to be a phone-call and 5 min drive away, is now 2-3 months with no guarantees.
Ha, that's funny. Cabin we rented this summer had a corded "house" phone and watching my little nephew use it was hilarious. He's grown up with iphones and ipads and wasn't used to using something with a cord. He kept walking away with it and almost ripped the cord of the wall. :roflmao:
Strange. Did you recently switch to 3rd party inks by any chance? I seem to remember that being a theory for unnecessary cleaning.
We switched to Nazdar a few years back and it seems to clean more since then, but I just ignore it now. If it was stopping in the middle of every other print...
That is odd. I'm fairly sure when we print swatches (just did earlier today) the start/sample point was much closer than that.
You could always uncheck auto-patches and enter your starting values in the top left corner and leave the rest to default...but still doesn't seem necessary.
Will...
Did you check the auto-clean settings on the printer, have they changed?
I know our XR-640 ignores whatever we have it set to, and cleans whenever it wants. Not as often as you mentioned though.
Are the source color device values shown in your screenshot the same as if you use the eyedropper with the color replacement tool?
I know I sometimes get thrown off with "device values" and "output values"... not sure if that's what's happening here.
Gotcha. Was gonna say if you set all that up I hope you were compensated fairly for that portion at least.
Well if the ship has sailed then I guess all you can do is walk away. Who knows, maybe the quotes they'll get to strip and replace will be higher than yours and they may reconsider...
I've done some awning revivals and I'm pretty sure we used a wallpaper steamer to soften the vinyl/adhesive.
That said, you may want to explore how much it would cost to strip and re-stretch new canvas, rather than struggling with it and probably ending up with ghosting anyways.
I think I might have a full unopened Metallic Gold foil for the Edge 1/2 - would that do you any good?
We're in Canada so shipping might be a bit pricy, but I'll give you a good deal on it if you want it.
They've mostly been reliable as a material supplier, until lately with supply chain issues. I get everyone is going through this but they've been the worst out of our top 3 suppliers.
I've been waiting 2 months for a 3M wrap bundle.....and they literally have no idea when we'll see it. Waited...
I thought it was the friendlier cousin of 3951RA?
The first wraps I worked with were printed on 3951 - never touched oracal wrap films after that.
(Sorry, not helpful, but I certainly feel your pain)
