  1. Need Help Dogbone Issues on Rounded Corners

Does it happen with multiple tools/blades? Did the tech think this was acceptable output? (I don't) Edited to add: If you performed multiple passes, would it follow the same lines every time or is it all over the place?
  2. boat license standard

Sorry, the font doesn't look familiar to me, but I do love how they just flipped the "M" to make a "W", upside-down gradient and all! :banghead:
  3. Need Help Foil Cracking

We've run into this lots on our Edge2 printing on Lexedge, which looks like what you're doing. Mostly when backing up with white. I'm pretty sure Gerber's only suggestion was to lower temp on white when printing, but it never 100% went away. Like jfiscus suggested, printing full height seems...
  4. Barcode number and file name are not matching

When we send files down through Onyx Thrive / Cut Server to our Summa F, the file number ends with either 0 (front/beginning of the job) or 5 (back/end of the job. I'm assuming this is based on which cutter it is being sent to? When we send to our Summa S I can't remember how it treats the...
  5. Thrive Layout Tool Grief...

Basically sums up my experience with it over the last 6 years. Every now and then I get ambitious and give it another go, only to realize that it's junk. Could be such a useful piece of software for customizing your nesting etc. but it just doesn't work.
  6. Wrapped PVC

Looks great! I can relate to those projects that took way too long but made the customer happy in the end...have had a few of those lately myself.
  7. Roland Speed

Have you tried a different data cable?
  8. Change of Business name.

No offense, but are you really willing to stake your reputation on the opinion of random people on the internet? I get it, self-promotion and marketing is tough, but I feel like this is something that you and your new partner need to come up with on your own.
  9. First Signcraft magazine

Cool! What year is that from?
  10. Summa F1612 routing mat

I'll be following this thread, we're in need for a new one as well!
  11. 54” Summa S2-140T

Device is probably set to override the software setting. I don't use Flexi but there should be a setting somewhere (either on software or plotter) that lets you choose whether to go by software or device settings. Until you figure it out you can always adjust the weight on the plotter before...
  12. Anybody own a Digitech....I has questions about printing on glass

Let's not. Clearly it is a specialized process (I've tried, and moved on) and why should he waste his time helping you?
  13. Anybody own a Digitech....I has questions about printing on glass

*Well thanks for being an ungrateful know-it-all. Clearly Pauly was trying to help, and clearly you need lots of it.
  14. Discussion Shop/labor/machine rates

Thanks guys, really appreciate the input! Been absolutely swamped but will review all this and report back. Definitely some gold in those replies.

What kind of "files" are you looking for exactly??
  16. COROPLAST FOOTBALL HELMETS MEGAPHONES

Wow. This thread makes my head hurt.
  17. Mimaki UCJV300-160 patchy printing

Sorry for the late reply. We're using a custom built profile out of Onyx Thrive. Are you using Thrive or Rasterlink? I'm curious to see what firmware we're on, I'll check and see. I know we haven't updated anything in a while and it's usually a big ordeal and has to be done with a USB cord...
  18. Discussion Shop/labor/machine rates

Thanks. I know where you're coming from but looking for something a bit more sophisticated than adjusting prices based on current workload.
  19. Discussion Shop/labor/machine rates

Thanks. That's a nice healthy margin, something to aim for I guess. There are definitely some months were we hit that but on average (on a normal year) we're around 10-15% net at the end of the year.
