  1. Approximate Cost For Flex Faces

Trying to find out an approximate cost to replace full color print flex faces in a 20'x10' cabinet about 15' off the ground. Alse need a guesstimate on replacing all the wiring, balasts, fixtures and bulbs in the cabinet. Just ballpark the retail pricing please. I have no basis for comparison...
  2. Box Truck Wrap - New look!

Nice design. Looks great. We do our best to make sure not to lose a significant part of a logo or a complete letter in various obstacles of a wrap. In this case, you could have definitely wrapped the door frames. If fact, it wouldn't be difficult or terribly costly to go back and add those frame...
  3. What Material Would You Use Here...

Interesting Pacific. Did the 8519 Leave a hazy look? Was the translucent effect just enough to let light through or could you actually see through the print as you can in Merrits photos? Were you and the customer happy with the results?
  4. What Material Would You Use Here...

Beautiful Merritt... perfect solution. Is this laminated? I'll shoot you a PM with square footage and see if you can quote it for me. Thanks!
  5. Tesla Roadster Wrap

Who cares if you guys like the design or not. We work for our customers in this business. This is an example of awesome execution! I assume it's a seamless install. I'm curious to know how you paneled it. Your stars and stripes flow almostly flawlessly from one side of the car to the other. For...
  6. 3M lam issue with BS

We use a lot of IJ35c here... and a ton of 210 gloss and matte on top of it. I bought one roll of 8509 and after one print, decided to use it to launch fireworks out of. The hue of the laminate is piss yellow. It's the worst looking stuff I've ever seen. We've had zero problems with 210 on...
  7. WANTED: Sign Contractor In Houston

The company (who shall remain nameless) who we have be subbing and sending sign work to is seemingly too busy for me now. I need a good, reliable, competitively priced, licensed sign contractor in the Houston area who wants to do some work for us. Someone who can design and build cabinet signs...
  8. What Material Would You Use Here...

I'm bidding on a job similar to the one pictured here. This is not a photo of the actual job or design. It's an indoor application on glass walls. The client would like to use clear vinyl and would like for the printing to be sort of semi-translucent. The glass portions need to remain as clear...
  9. How much for that wrap?!?!?

What's up all... been out of the loop for a while working my butt off. No free time for Signs 101... and that's a good thing. Chris, your pricing doesn't include designs right? You'd be at $3300 for 4 sides with designs provided. That's a competitive price. On a standard 24' box trailer...
  10. Do Vinyl Sign wrap shops

Hot or cold is definitely NOT fine. Hot lams are not intended for vinyl. Heat causes vinyl to stretch. Laminates used for vinyl applications are pressure sensitive and are applied cold.
  11. Best Value Printer for Wraps

Meet you by the bike rack Chris... after I beat up Bradster by the flagpole at 3.
  12. Best Value Printer for Wraps

LMAO... the BRADSTER gave me an INFRACTION for that post. I can't stop laughing. Seriously!! Too funny!! The INFRACTION was for insulting a member. Seriously? Was my question any more insulting than his? I feel like I'm in 4th grade here and I just got slapped on the wrist with a ruler. LMAO!
  13. How much to wrap a Ford Transit Connect Van?

Save yourself a lot of time and money... hire a professional.
  14. local install

Our installations are amazingly clean... but there's always that customer who expects the impossible. The best way to deal with it is to stay one step ahead of them and make sure they are informed. You have to cut a relief there... it's the right way to do it. Just make sure you educate the...
  15. Best Value Printer for Wraps

Not sure of the answer to your question... but maybe you can tell me what is the cheapest way I might be able to get into racing? I don't know anything about cars... or racing... hell, I don't even have a drivers license. I'd appreciate if you could point me in the direction of the cheapest...
  16. Laminating Long Runs... Problems...

I dunno. Is this a trap? What if we've been laminating incorrectly all this time? I mean... it works for us. If I post pics, I don't know if I can handle the firestorm of flames that are sure to come my way for our method of laminating. I'm fragile.
  17. Our newest wrap

That facebook wrap is SICK! Overlayed text... genius! I don't know how you do it Chris. I need to come up there and get some lessons.
  18. smart car

Took the fam on a cruise to Mexico for a little much needed and much deserved R&R. Since I got back it's been game on. We're slammed! Cranking them out... no time for fun and games on S101. What's up with you?
  19. smart car

I'm sure those cars are incredibly safe... if you don't get in a wreck in one.
  20. Dibond to Stucco with liquid nails?

TSquare... sorry I've been away from S101 for a few weeks. I could have saved you the grief and frustration of reading half the responses here. It seems some of the members here were relentlessly picked on in their adolescent years so now they seek refuge in tearing apart anyone who has a simple...
