  1. UJF 3042 Printing Grey Problems

You need to take into account the black substrate. Your white underlayer is probably already gray, so any gray ink will be darkened by that. Do you have any problem printing light gray on white substrates?
  2. What kind of signs would you propose?

We have places like that all over town. One is next door. Put a 2'x8' cabinet sign for each tenant. Plexiglas face stays with the property and is not taken by tenant when they leave, even though tenants have to pay for redecorating/replacing plexiglass when they move in. 2x8 will allow better...
  3. Shrinking Material causing failures

I have used a solvent for 13 years, first a Mimaki and now an Epson, and we always cut through the color. I hate white fringe around cut decals. We have never had curling up problems except when we tried a 3M with removable Comply adhesive. Our run of the mill vinyl is GF Concept 203 and we...

  5. Shrinking Material causing failures

No such thing as too aggressive for vehicle decals. Vehicle decals have to survive driving 80-90 mph, high heat, extreme cold, car washes, power washers, blasting with dirt and mud.

  7. Shrinking Material causing failures

I agree that the problem stems from using a "removable" adhesive. My experience is that most of these should be called non-adhesive. I definitely wouldn't contour cut full bleed graphics with them. It's clear. it's meant to be used in rectangular sheets. Even then, you will experience premature...

Even if you computer is 64 bit, Windows may not be. Make sure your Windows is 64 bit. What version of Windows are you using? Do you have a compatible version of the driver installer, i.e. Windows 7 driver for Windows 7, Windows 10 driver for Windows 10?
  12. Epson s80600 and avery 2050

On the printer control panel, while the media is selected, you do a feed adjustment. There's an automatic adjustment that never seems to work for me, and a manual adjustment that makes marks 500mm apart that you measure and enter the difference to adjust feed for that media.

  15. Software Help Blowing Up Images in Photoshop

All the online clipart vendors have high resolution bitmap images. istockphoto, adobe, dreamscape, 123ref, shutterstock and on and on. There are plugins as well as separate software for enlarging images, but none make perfect pictures. At best they reduce jagginess, making it less obvious...

  19. What's proper etiquette if a prospect sends you a competitor's proof for pricing?

Proper etiquette. Does that mean what is morally right and meets society's standards, or does it mean what happens in the real world? 'Cause if you are asking what people do in the real world, you use the design and charge less to get the job. That's what people do around here anyway. Had a...
