  1. Is Banner Hem Tape Enough?

I bought a banner welder from Supply 55 and that thing works awesome!! Almost just like a big shrink wrap sealer. I had 100 double sided pole pocket banners to do, so it paid for itself on that one job. It is only 24" wide, so can get a little cumbersome, but I have done 5' by 50' banners on it...
  2. Thermal to Latex

Don't forget that you need a RIP too, I would highly recommend Caldera. As far as ink, it all depends on how much ink coverage there is on the decals you are printing. I have some decals I go through (8) 30" rolls without having to change a cartridge, but there is only some black ink on them.
  3. anyone recommend non curl banner material?

I have had good luck with the new Arlon banner material. The number is 210 I believe, then then have a satin or pebble finish.
  4. Craft Paper :: L25500 Latex printing?

HP themselves have some cheap, lightweight white paper you can print on. A lot of them come on 2" cores though. You would have to have a 2" spindle or rewind it onto a 3" core.
  5. l25000 good Maroon

I use a pantone guide. I have had good luck with the printed colors coming out almost right on. Do you have one? I have an eps file you can print out and go off of that.
  6. 40" laminator recomendations???

For US Tech, you will want to go to: www.bestdgi.com
  7. 40" laminator recomendations???

I have had good luck with my US Tech laminator. I don't think there is any connection with them and US Cutter.
  8. My new toy!!!

    Congrats!! I absolutely love mine!
  9. Ink price L25500 or L26500

With the number of machines he has, I don't think he has to worry about that. If I remember right, Nate said he has (8) L25's, so I hope he gets a killer deal keeping them all full of ink.
  10. A Video of us Wrapping an RV!

Awesome! It is cool to see other shops at work and how they do things.
  11. HP L25500 - Printhead Drop Detector

There are (3) maintenance kits on the printer. #3 consists of a filter, fan and a sensor. From what I can tell, it is the one that "fills" up first. That one came due at about 52k square feet, where the first (2) are only at 10%.
  12. HP L25500 - Printhead Drop Detector

I have it too if anyone needs it. After looking through it, not sure if I would want to chance taking it apart. Which is why I paid the extra ~$250 to have HP come install the Maintenance Kit #3. It is nice having ALL of the error codes listed so you know what they are, and having some...
  13. Ink price L25500 or L26500

    I'm paying $123 on my L25.
  14. HP Latex Panel Color Shift

I am using inks dated 2013 without any issues.
  15. Cold vs Heat Assist vs Hot Laminators

If you are looking at a US Tech, the difference really isn't much. Also, with a US Tech, I would highly recommend at least the higher end model they have. With or without heat, the build of them looks the same. If you go to www.bestdgi.com, you can find the best pricing. I bought the heat assist...
  16. Ink price L25500 or L26500

I usually just go off of the web server for a close estimate on a specific job. Or average a few out.
  17. Ink price L25500 or L26500

I agree with the rediculous comments about it being a power hog. My TOTAL utilities for the year has went up maybe $100 to $150. And my HP runs AT LEAST twice as much as the Roland I had. Plus my most expensive gas bill has only been like $25, that's being in Minnesota even.
  18. Saying it again

Glad to hear that some people still have luck with them as Dale is sure a nice guy.
  19. 3M Envision/Red Bull

    Looks good!
  20. Graduating to Laminator - Need advice - 54"

I have a US Tech laminator and it has worked awesome for me. You can't be $4500 for a 65" model with heat assist and a powered take up real. Once I figured out how to web it to make everything go straight, it has been awesome! www.bestdgi.com
