If they want a 1/2" edge around the print, that would be tough to do with a psa laminate. www.laminator.com has reasonable hot laminators at the 24" to 40" size. You might want to look into one.
I love Caldera too! I have had great luck with it and tech support is awesome! I went off of others statements saying they got better color from Caldera compared to Onyx.
I haven't personally used any others, excepts VW when I had a Roland.
I have used the Fibermark, with a latex, but it works great! The adhesive paper is called Stick-P. I get mine from www.graphicsmedia.biz.
Their other papers are really nice too!
I do a lot of print/laminate/cut material. It is definitely better for that. I also like it better for just cut lettering. I just think it cuts nicer overall. It was weird to see it work the first time though after only using a drag knife before.
I think the Tangential cuts way nicer than the drag knife. I am actually looking into an S2 as with larger rolls, being able to add a few extra pinch rollers would be awesome! I don't feel (4) rollers is quite enough on 54" wide media.
How often do you replace your felt pads? I have the original ones at 53k+ square feet. I oil it once it hits about 75%, and everything seems fine so far.
I am going to order some stuff from hpparts.com, but can't find the part number for the Oil used to lubricate the rail and rollers on my L25500. Does anyone know what the part number for that is?
