Scene this many times! I am running a L26, but have a Summa S Class cutter. Along with Caldera, it will print a solid bar across the front of the print, which the cutter will read to help accommodate for the bowing. Cheap vinyl is definitely worse. The cheap paper makes the "bowing" worse...

As a compliment to everyone who posted here, it is good to see that everyone gave him good advice, versus just telling him that he's an idiot and find a different career. It gets old seeing that on so many posts. Yes, you will spend more than that on a decent cutter for cutting that thick stuff.

So after a couple of months, what do you think of your S70? Would you recommend one to someone looking at getting one?

I have been told the same thing too, exact same printer just without the take up and media load tool. I just got a killer quote on one from North Light Color the other day. Tempting to get another one.

I would get a hold of Berger or Fischer Textiles. They both are more than willing to send you samples to try. All you have to do is cover the shipping.

I have mine going through a hub without any problems. I just made sure I got a hub and a router with gigabit ports on it.

Don't use scrim banner in a retractable. That looks like crap in my opinion.

Never had a color issue with either my L25 or L26. I made test prints from my Roland to my HP and the quality of the HP was WAY better. I think the HP works better if you can fine tune it to your location, use, etc. whereas the Roland is more of a plug it in and go. If I was to add a printer now...

I have had good luck with the Briteline on my L26 as well. The white stuff anyways so far.

i have used the Sihl stuff with good results.

I tried Solaris when I had my VP-540. It was okay, but I did have a cyan head go out. Not sure if it was the ink or not. I know I have heard others hear say too, if you are not going to use enough to use a bulk system, it's not worth it. I would only use Roland if I still had one, or got another...

Do they need a white flood coat or anything like that?

I had to do some serious digging to find a 2" spindle. The place I got it from said that by law they have to have parts available for 5 years after they discontinue it. Not sure if that's true or not?
