It almost sounds like a humidity problem is it's just he edges.
Try getting a humidifier and placing it near the printer. Also look at increasing the passes so you can also lower the temp a little more. see if this helps.
Worked for a company that had huge work tables. One of which was like 10'x20' had some crazy dead spots. I was cutting out some graphics and had the graphic slip, the boss was a little pissed, I told him the table was full of dead spots and needed to be fixed. I ended taking a 60" safety...
Pro Vehicle are pretty great. Great selection and I think that they do the subscription. Another site to look at is All the Templates You Can Download
Fonts, images, vector, 3d, assortment of templates (no vehicles). Envato also has a site for tutorials as well.
Check with your local dealer. They probably have them and if you don't have any experience your going to want them to set them up for you as well.
Whats the issue anyways?
The color change 'Bro I want to wrap my car in Carbon Fiber' wraps or the business 'I have a small fleet I want to wrap'? While I think that the personal vehicle wrap market is limited, as most people don't want to spend the money to get it done, the commercial/marketing side is not going away...
If you open the file with Flexi and select it, hit print. In the dialog panel go to the tile tab set your size, select your seem choice (vertical or horizontal) select your overlap size, make sure all your panels are the sizes you want. Now right click on the panel you don't want ( it should...
I have questions regarding your math here...
You say you use $500 in ink for 2 vehicle wraps? What type of printer are you using? What type of ink?
You also say that it takes 6 hours to print, another 3 hours of lam and trim? Again what laminator are you using/how are you laminating?
You guys ever wonder how many of these "new to the industry......" people actually take the advice given here? How many people actually reply back to these?
They make wall test kits so that you can test the material before you print/apply so that you know what your getting into. There are several brands that make material specifically for wall murals as well.
As far as 'feeling that one adhesive is more aggressive than that the other', There are...
So first question would be is what experience do you have in vehicle wraps? What experience do you have in design?
By you post I would think that you have little to no experience in both. So here's what I would do if I were in you situation. Go get a job in a local shop that does design...
What about Adobe Muse? Has anyone had any luck with that? I've messed around with it a little and while it's not going to give you all the bells and whistles is can create a responsive site which is now a big plus for the way google is doing their search now.
So not exact sure what your asking.
Some of this depends on what rip you have.
You have your template, I would have it with no fill and maybe a stroke of a contrasting color so you can see it. Lock that layer
Create another layer under it and do your design.
Once you design is done use the...
So for the purposes of what are producing I would say that Latex is the way to go. We bought 2 HP 570's almost a year ago and have been very happy with them. They produce great color, detail, and speed. The bulk ink system is also a great way to save some money.
The pro's
Faster turn around...
You should try that. Let us know how that works. How would you 'hack' it anyways? Where would you get white ink that you could use in a inkjet desktop printer?
