  1. Wrinkle wrinkle on that wrap

I admit I am new so for me I am confident I see more on mine. Particularly on the corner of panels. When I went looking to see other wraps, it seems it was very common to see them on corners. I just wonder if customers are use to it. I know when I see one I try to do whatever I can to fix it...
  2. Wrinkle wrinkle on that wrap

So, we have started offering wraps two months ago or so. I have been turning these away since I opened in 2008 for the most part. However, I feel I am set up to now do them and keep up with other work load. Since we started taking them in, we have done about 6 in the last month. What I...
  3. SignVox discussion

Yes, and I appreciate that feature actually. Where we are at now, is trying to get the products setup, cause right now I am just doing custom on everything and free typing the information. This doesn't make us efficient at all, so at some point I need to better understand setting up pricing on...
  4. SignVox discussion

One of the issues I have run into, is I created a job that has about 35 line items. Talking to Kevin, he said it was perhaps the largest quote he had ever seen (in terms of line items). It is for a development company. Anyway, the problem came when I converted it to an actual job. All the line...
  5. SignVox discussion

We installed SignVox a couple weeks ago. Potentially I love the product. I have resigned to the fact, it is going to take time for it to feel like it fits. It is making us change how we operate a little bit. I am curious about others whom have switched. Specifically, we are at the stage of...

This is what's coming off now, and it looks a little grainier then 12 pass, but only to those that have seen the 12 pass. I showed the customer and he loved it. Awesome win/win for everyone.

So, here is the verdict. I spent some time, and now can print and entire van in 2 hours down from 4.75 hours. I am printing in 8pass with very acceptable results, and I am super picky. 20 minutes to laminate the whole thing, and wrap ready in under 3 hours. Thanks for the suggestion Colorado.

  9. Feedback for customer

The crowd is made up of Marijuana supporters. It is in an effort to support the growing number of states that are legalizing its use. The clothing line is aimed at people who would wear shirts that showcase images and words that talk about the positive aspects to Marijuana, but in a way that...
  10. Feedback for customer

I have a customer working on their logo before we move into signage. I told them I would see if I could get some opinions. I did not design these, the customer is having these designed. He is a friend of mine, which is the only reason I offered to help get some opinions. The clothing line is a...
  11. HP Latex users

Wow, and the difference in viewable quality from looking side by side at a 12 pass and an 8 pass is? I know I can try it myself and compare, just looking for others experience here. Thanks, and now I can imagine how it is your shop cranks out some many wraps. At best on 12 pass I can print 2...
  12. HP Latex users

So, I am printing more vehicle wraps now, and I seem to get excellent results on 12pass. However to print and entire van it takes about 4 hours and 25 minutes (Ford Econoline) I would think the 10pass would take a third off of that, but wonder if others are printing in 10pass with success on...
  13. Best Laminator Choice...for ME!

I went with US Tech also, but the one with heat assist. 2months later I still don't have heat, as the heat coil keeps breaking during shipment. Other then that, as a Cold Unit, it has done awesome. So, I know with the heat assist it will be that much better.
  14. Quote request on Metallic Decals

Hi everyone I posted an ad if anyone is interested. http://www.signs101.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1057228#post1057228
  15. Quote for decals, need by Monday

Hi everyone, below in quotes is what a customer is requesting. I do not have this ability, but thought I would give it a shot on Signs101. Any questions just email me at mike@vivisual.com or send a message through signs101 "We are looking for a quote on die-cut, waterproof stickers for hard...
  16. Dan inspired design

OK, so guys, I obviously have the bug of wanting to get better. It has nothing to do with saving money. I truly believe (cough cough Jillbeans) paying for talent is the right thing to do. One of my best friends is an award winning designer, and if things go well, maybe he will be joining the...
  17. Dan inspired design

I love you too my darling... I guess I can never recover from that one.... and... I knew it would be brought up. Thing is, I look at other members websites on here, and look at their wrap designs and without naming names, there is some nasty stuff that is present, and they post it to their...
  18. Dan inspired design

I agree man, it's just I actually thought it looked OK. I mean I have seen plenty worse than that. However, it just appears what I see and others see are two different things. I don't know why I have this itch to get better at design, when I have so many other things to worry about. Anyway, I...
  19. Dan inspired design

Well, I think if it is that bad. I will just take this post down. Find a way to charge the customer more for design, and hire a designer. To much stress for me. Thanks anyway everyone...
  20. Dan inspired design

The logo is already a part I have to use. As for the other advice. I appreciate it. I didn't mean Dan inspired in a retro sense. I only meant that I used an element from one of his designs. Just didn't want some people coming on and saying, they saw that part on another vehicle, why are you...
