  1. Horror stories about sign companies

Another was a print shop (standard business cards, flyers, etc) started getting into signs. They fired their sign guy they hired in house and asked me to help them. At a university they wanted me to install about 18 stair riser strips (on the face of the steps). They provided everything, all I...
  2. Horror stories about sign companies

A local sign shop about 10 miles away wanted me to use my bucket truck to reinstall a sign that had fallen down. It was a 3" thick wooden sign with routed square face (recessed) that had aluminum in it. He took care of putting the aluminum in and then gave to me to install. I watched as he...
  3. A little help request

I don't recommend cutting the backing. You will be changing the cutting strip weekly. Not worth it. There is equipment out there made to fully cut out stickers. Faster and cheaper.

I think all of us need to complain and say that we use them for most of our supplies and shop there weekly and this is a kick in the face to us.
  9. Dig 811

No, but they have marked lines incorrectly. I've uncovered two utilities and I was a foot away from them. They aren't perfectly accurate. If you find a utility that isn't marked, take photos and save for future reference. Private utilities will not be marked. So watch out for those, usually it's...

  15. A couple recent routed HDU jobs we're really proud of

Good job, are they hand painted or spray gunned?
  16. How Long?

If it's something fairly simple like a real estate sign or similar, generally we make the proof same day. Depending on what sign it is and what we have in stock, generally it's 24 - 48 hours for fabrication/installation.
  17. Roland VS-540i Purchase

I only have good things to say about Roland.
  18. 10yr Old Wrap Removal Suggestions

Well it depends on how much people are struggling with other methods. If the traditional way doesn't work and the other options, the MBX vinyl zapper will take awhile but will work regardless.
  19. 19 years experience-looking to move on

This is a really old post. He isn't here anymore
  20. 10yr Old Wrap Removal Suggestions

I am surprised no one mentioned the MBX Vinyl Zapper yet. It would take awhile, but it removes both the vinyl and adhesive.
